X-Post - It aint over til it's over!

As I have whinged and obsessed about continually on this board, I have spent several months, since December, losing very slowly - maybe a pound a month, nothing some months. I haven't been too stressed (MOST of the time), because I have been losing inches all the while, but I have wondered if my weight loss is done or not, about 10 pounds shy of my goal. Well, this month I have for some reason dropped 5 pounds. This astounds me, as I haven't really been doing anything different - just keeping on with the program - protein, supplements, fluids, pretty low carb, minimal treats (including a square or two of extra bittersweet chocolate every day!)

The moral of the story (for me) is: KEEP IT UP - STALLS HAPPEN - BE REWARDED BY KEEPING UP GOOD HABITS, FEELING GREAT, LOOKING GOOD - NOT JUST BY THE SCALE!

(And thanks to my peeps on this board for the frendly and reliable support and encouragement! You all are an inspiration to me!)

Good for you! Sometimes you lose when you least expect it. Something similar happened to me and I ended up below goal after a slow losing phase. you can get there if you just stay at it. congrats.  diane

I kind of did the same thing.  Just hanging in.  1/2 every week.  Then last week, out of the blue, I dropped 2 1/2 pounds.  Guess Sleevie Wonder is still doing his magic.

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

This is exactly what happened to me toward the end.  I reached my goal of 110 lbs. and then over a period of a few months more pounds came in sudden bursts.  I kept being surprised every time it happened.  Good for you for hanging in there and staying committed.
