Sick of meat
I get sick of meat too, that was why I was so excited about the P28 bread. I have been eating that bread twice a day now. I know I will probably get sick of it later, but for now it's haven. I eat two hard boiled eggs with laughing cow cheese every day, I mesh them together and that is breakfast. I have been treating myself to other food more often, so far I have not paid the price, but I am keeping an eye on it. My favorite food is still seafood, I love poki tuna and order or make it twice a week. I also make a lot of different stuff with crab. My friend just came back from a fishing trip and brought me back a freezer full of salmon. I am having it smoked in a nearby smoke house. I hear you about needing a break from chicken and beef.
Don't blame you for getting sick of meat - especially chicken. One thing we like is ground beef that is grass fed from the hippie coop. It tastes better and has less weird stuff in it and makes a nice little burger. Other cuts of grass fed beef are available.
And I have recently been making meatloaf a lot out of either turkey or beef. The usual ingredients but just a couple spoons of oatmeal for filler and no bread and a bit of bran and onion, catsup and eggs. I mix it in the cuisinart for a finer texture which tastes good to me. Could make meatballs this way too. Maybe even a tuna loaf. And one of my favorite things is lamb meat loaf but my husband hates it so i rarely make it.
Hubby and I have really come to enjoy tofu. I stir fry it in peanut oil with a few veggies and add lots of asian flavors like soy sauce, garlic, minced ginger from a jar, cilantro, lime, thai chili sauce, mint leaves, lemon grass, rice wine, terriyaki sauce or any other asian flavors. Sometimes add snow peas or bamboo shoots. The tofu tastes like whatever flavors you add. Could use some thai peanut sauce or fish sauce or a sweet and sour thing with minimal sugar or splenda.
And in the summer and white fish or shrimp with a lot of lime and lime zest on it is always good.
Some butchers offer unusual meat like elk or bison which are good and a change of pace. Or sautee thin meat strips and then make fake fajitas using lettuce leaves instead of tortillas.
boneless pork chops cut into thin strips are good sauteed with apple slices.
If you want cheesecake, take a thing of sugar free pudding and mix it with an equal amount of greek yogurt. add a bit of protein powder if you want. this snack is one my skinny brother eats to up his protein for his workout activities.
hope this helps. Diane

I have a RNY friend that recently moved back from Boston and moved right into my condo building. She's retired for now and cooks dinner every night. Yup, how lucky am I to have the best Italian cook that I know, living right upstairs.
We've been eating things like steak, lamb burgers, Costco Thai seasoned Tilapia, Costco marinated salmon steaks, fish tacos on a high protein, low carb whole wheat tortilla, turkey meatballs, fritatta, pork chops ( I never knew they could be that good), organic chicken thighs marinated in something fabulous, minestra (cabbage stew type thing). There's always a green salad or asparagus or some other yummy veggie on the side. The best is that there's generally leftovers for me to take for lunch the next day!
I cook/better known as don't cook, and don't really understand great seasonings etc and what they can do for a meal, so this is a very eye opening experience. With food like this I'd rather get my protein from food than protein powder but I still do have protein pudding with protein crisps mixed in for breakfast most days.

Golly miss Molly...I hope I never tire of meat........I wish I had clever advise, but all I can off is a (((((hug))))). I read your post this morning and have been thinking about it all day without coming up with anything except for moist cooked pork......I'll keep my thinking cap on though.
I bought a slab of fresh ahi tuna at Costco the other day - spendy for sure, but I cut it into 3-oz portions, put most in the freezer and have had it a couple times. Season with S&P (in fact, lots of pepper), sear in a screaming hot pan for a minute or so per side - yummo! If only I had some wasabi.
