SLEEVIN' & ACHIEVIN' & 30 Day No Weigh Challenge, Thursday Apr28/11
Cindy, I had to actually stop buying roasted/salted almonds they just get eaten too quickly. the raw, unsalted ones just sit around. but, if there is one thing we know by now: you do what you are ready to do.
Thursday: 30 minutes of cardio DONE (by 7:05 am, *smug*)
I am in the process of tweaking the remained of my exercise program and will be doing resistive exercise on 2 of the same days I do cardio. I am starting small with 2 core priorities.
ball abs: DONE
ball pects: DONE
This morning - while I still have that post coffee/cardio buzz - I am doing major clutter control. I have a specific goal (it's small but important) and once I have done that I will get on with the rest of my day.
Happy Thursday Everybody: grab yourself some momenteum and ride it the direction you want to go.

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.
PM me if you are interested in either of these.
size 8, life is great
stop being so hard on your self cindy... you have acheived so much in a short time getting back on track...
if need be measure out little amounts and keep the rest in a cupboard that is not at eye lvl so your not constantly seeing them when you open the door and then you can figure out just how many you can allow your self...
Think of what your doing, more as clean eating. not dieting... and take it one thing at a time.. one day at a time..
as you stated your self you have everything else almost perfect and maybe it will be a week or two longer til you break from the almonds, but you have done well to keep everything else almost perfect ..keep doing that til those things are the norm then work on your almonds more... but almonds are alot healthier than where you were just a few short weeks ago... so a pat on the back and take some of the pressure off your self or it will lead to you binging..
I am so proud of you, your never giving up and that you keep trying... you will get there...

Linda, Thank you so much my sweet friend for giving me perspective. Everything you have said is bang on. I am now feeling pride and accomplishment, instead of frustration and defeat, the mind is soooooo powerful.
You know me so well, in some ways, better than I know myself. Thanks for the stern, kind, insightful talking to, you may have just prevented me from throwing in the towel. I am going to keep doing exactly what I am doing. Like I said, everything else, the meals, exercise, water and supplements are basically perfect, it is just the almonds... wow that really is an icredible improvement isn't it? I am also allowing myself one off plan meal a week! I am going to keep doing that, but plan it... not just give in to it at random...
Thanks again my dear sweet friend,
Cindy

Sweetie...remember just a few short weeks ago when you were eating tortillas and MnMs everyday? I'd say raw almonds are a huge improvement! Give yourself a break. You can't take away every pleasure in life. And even if you did...could you live that way forever??? Of course not. We're all human and we are not perfect...just improving. : )

Wow, you know it sure seems like it is all or nothing for me... thank you so much. You guys have made me feel such pride. AND if it takes me longer to get this off, who cares, it will come off, I really am doing fantastic... God I want to weigh and see how I am doing, but you know what?...... if I weigh and find out I am not losing, I would just beat myself up, cut out the almonds for a few days, go on a major binge and give up for a few more months....
THIS is much healthier... I should count the days of healthy eating, rather than days of being perfect... maybe that will be MY NEXT CHALLENGE...
Thanks for taking the time Laura, it means the world to me... thanks for taking a step back and looking at the big picture, when I did not think of doing that.
Hugs to you my friend,
Cindy
