hmmmm, good theory. blame it on the booze. I like it. Of course it means i gotta watch the wine now. Dang. Even Dr. C says a couple glasses of wine a week is ok in maintenance. Just not connected with choc coconut balls i guess. D
I think the key is that wine is a liquid. So no drinking it with meals and wait 45 min after. If I had done that, I would have been fine. I drank right after eating instead.

When I was a kid the rule was, "eat all of your dinner and then you can have dessert." I would tell my mother my dinner stomach was full but my dessert stomach was E M P T Y!

Before I had surgery I warned the surgeon I had two stomachs and to make sure he got both of them. I sadly report he missed the dessert stomach.

That's my theory and I am sticking to it! :-)

HA, I  must have two stomachs too - like a cow. but they eat grass. how can they gain so much weight eating just grass and such. no calories in grass. i think lettuce will ultimately prove to be fattening in some way. LOL thats why i avoid it. don't like it anyway.

yep, dessert stomach may be a secret organ waiting to be discovered like a new planet. Exists in another dimension. oh well, we all learn from this.   Diane

I think many of us battled demons this weekend. Mine was the Banana Pudding and pound cake.

I'm now looking for an exorcist.

Diane, I hear you.

I have more and more "slider" foods the further out I get.  I now can eat an absolute ton of food, if I choose the ones that I can eat a lot of.

that's OK. I am going to be fine on the strength of the permanent changes I have made and continue to make in my behavior.

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

PM me if you are interested in either of these.

There are some foods that I can eat so much of it's crazy. And it doesn't help that slider foods feel so good in my sleeve - much better than meat.

Man those coconut balls sounds good.

It sure sounds like we all met our demons once again on a holiday!  I wrote about my demons on Ms Shells "whatcha eating" for Sunday, here on the Maintenance forum.  To sum it up. I got glutened through cross contamination (wheat).
Of all the food being served, there were only a few items that were safe for me to eat, and I still got sick....

Then, I ate 8 squares of Hershey's chocolate because I felt deprived when the beautiful cupcakes came out....I lost it.

Sometimes it's a blessing  that I can't eat most foods..without getting a severe body spanking (allergic reaction and sick), but then at times I get all sullen and deprived feeling and lose it to safe slider junk like Hershey's milk chocolate.  Not very often....but on a Holiday, the chances are high!

My Easter didn't involved sugar, but it did involve popcorn.  Now there's a real slider for ya! Thank goodness I rarely go to the movies.

There is nothing like popcorn at the movies. I order the kiddie size for portion control and I am glad it goes down without a problem. yum yum
