Does chicken ever get "easy?"

Well, I can tolerate it. I eat it regularly. I just don't like how it feels...like rocks in my sleeve. It's weird. I wish I could describe it better. And it's only if I eat it "dry." Like tonight I ate it with just a light coating of bbq sauce and it was still too dry. But I can eat it easily if I dip it ranch dressing or make it in cream soups, etc. My sleeve just doesn't like the dryness, I guess.

I do still have a lot of restriction so maybe that's why. Weird huh?!

OK....I get what your saying.  I have the same problem with beef and fish.  It sits like a load of cement in my sleeve.  Weird how we're all different.  I have good restriction but not as much as you, and I'm not as far out as you......I can easily eat 3-4 ounces of chicken...no problemo...36FR, not oversewn.  Didn't you have a 32FR, oversewn?

Yep i have a 32 but not sure if it's oversewn.

That's so funny because I ate a big ol' piece of steak last night. Had to be 5 oz at least. I was shocked I ate that much. And I can eat ground beef no problem but I know that gives some people trouble. Fish is easy for me also.

But you got the feeling exactly...like cement. It's sooo heavy and just feels...not as good as all other foods. Definitely not as good as Pop Tarts.  lol I want some pop tarts right now, can you tell? :~)

Ha Ha...pop tarts...yep. it sounds like you want  the pop tarts right now!!

Wow....see, you can handle a steak. Not me.  It would seal my peloric valve shut like cement, and feel gawd awful!!

I think everyone is just really individual.  I have a tiny sleeve (can still only eat about 2oz of meat) and I eat chicken breast all the time.  Today I had leftover grilled chicken breast (it was pretty dry at this point) and it went down just fine... I think we're all just different!

yep, it kind of gets to me too and i have it often. i think i don't chew it as much as i should. in my mushy days I used to take a cooked chicken breast and grind it up in the cuisinart and then have a few spoons of it in chicken broth. goes down easier and comfort food. could spice up the broth a bit.

made a turkey meat loaf and because of issues with my hands i couldn't chop onions and mix stuff very well. so i just ran the whole thing through the cuisinart and then baked it in a loaf pan. guess what - made great meat loaf with a great texture. would be easy to do with chicken too. just a little oatmeal as filler and a couple of eggs and a squirt of ketchup.

And somehow that really moist costco roast chicken goes down easier than stuff i cook myself. i think they brine it and inject liquid.

Yum....your meatloaf sounds good, I never thought to use oatmeal in place of bread crumbs.  I like that idea.  It would make it gluten free for me.  I'm going to try it.  Thanks

I have been using oatmeal in my meatloaf for years. I have an awesome bbq turkey meatloaf recipe which uses oatmeal. I think I found it a long time ago on a weigh****chers site or something. It's soooo good.
