Does chicken ever get "easy?"

Hi gang!

Chicken is still the roughest food on my stomach, but I need to eat a good bit of it for my protein requirements. It still sits like a brick in my stomach...a brick wrapped in sandpaper. It feels ok if I drench it with something wet like cream soups, gravy, sauces, cheese, etc.

I just wi**** felt as good in my tummy as fattier meats and, well, peanut butter. lol Even steak has always felt better in my stomach and it still does. I can eat chicken breast, but it's uncomfy (not painful, just uncomfortable) in my sleeve so I always reach for everything else first.

I'm just wondering if it's just me or if it gets better with time?

My surgeon advised eating the dark meat, since it has more fat.  I can eat the breat meat, but I make a dressing of 1 tbs. sour cream, splenda and mustard to lube it up a bit.

well, I can eat plain chicken now and I couldn't before but I don't know when that happened. so for me, anyway, yes.

it hasn't been uncomfortable since 6 months out or so, I guess, and I got in the habit of adding mayo.

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

PM me if you are interested in either of these.

Yes, I can now eat it without sauce, but sauce makes better.  I have always preferred the dark meat.

HHHHMMMM....all I eat is chicken and shrimp pretty much.  I can barely handle beef.....chicken is my best friend.  I live on chicken breast...no lube required.....I've been good with chicken since 3 months out..

I still have some trouble with plain chicken breast, but I've always preferred thighs, so we usually go with that. Or I put some tzadziki on it to moisten...

Ahh interesting. I eat chicken breast often but I need lube or it just feels hard and scratchy in my sleeve. I can also only eat about 3-3.5 oz comfortably at a time. It's annoying! lol

I've always tolerated it, but it's the least comfortable food for me to eat...still. sigh

Don't have a problem with chicken unless I don't chew it enough.

I've always preferred dark meat as to me it's a moist part of the chicken. Even prior to surgery I never cared for white meat.

I don't think I've tried white meat since surgery. Now you have me curious.

Huh....I wonder why I can tolerate it and most of you can't?  Maybe my sleeve is a bit bigger....Chicken goes down like a dream....I do cook it very moist.  Even my grilled chicken was marinated before grilling and moist today...
