WTF

Hey, just looked at the mail and it included a LARGE SIZE WOMEN'S CLOTHING CATALOG!!  Don't these dopes know I ain't fat no mo.  Really odd because I haven't purchased any clothing from a catalog in many years and haven't received any for a really long time. Now I wish i would get some catalogs with some cool stuff in my itty bitty size 8. 

Maybe I will mark it "Return to Sender - No Fat Lady Lives Here"

Diane, I have tried to cancel the Just My Size catalog and every time it gets cancelled, I buy something from either Hanes.com or onehanesplace.com and then I start getting it again. dammit!

hey i loved being snubbed at Lane Bryant. Ultimate indication that i am no longer a fat lady. thats why the catalog burned me up. and its one i have never seen before much less ordered from. haven't gotten any clothes catalogs in years except Lands End and i don't order from them any more.

There was a time years ago when I used to get a catalog for old people goods. Like toilet seat lifters and all kinds of braces and devices and home health aids and adaptive clothing. Could never figure why i was getting that at the age of 35. Now i have some inkling of what that stuff is for.

My husband gets a catalog called Living Large for obese people that sells lawn chairs that hold 600 lbs and has a talking scale that yells out your weight because you can't see over your gut. Glad I don't have to look at it. Diane

That's OK, just after I turned 24 I got an AARP card and welcome packet in the mail... boy did they get an earful from me!  I told them that I'm not sure where they got my name from, or who they sold it to, but that if I got a single coupon for denture cream or adult diapers in the mail that there'd be hell to pay!  I was taken off their mailing list pretty quickly :)

Well, I get LivingXL catalog and I've never even bought anything from them ever in my life! ...annoying...

I keep getting someone from UHC calling me up to put me on a program to manage my "condition". I have no idea what condition they are talking about and they take forever to get to the point when they call so I usually end up hanging up on them and never found out.

yeah i had this too from Anthem because i had been in to see my pcp a few times after wls because she seemed to think she needed to do follow up. So anthem assumes i have some chronic disease and gives me this personal nurse to talk to. So i told her the deal and that i was healthier than ever and off meds and slim and bla bla bla. Anyway she was nice and seemed to get it. But  if they would read the info they collect  they would see this and stop wasting money and time to do all this on what were 3 or 4 short office visits. Of course, these are the people who didn't want to pay for my vsg even though it has made me infinitely more healthy. No wonder the health industry is a mess.     Diane

The one who called me wasn't nice. But that's probably because she was stupid and could only read from her script so I told her I was at work, my time was valuable and could she get to the point. She couldn't so I interrupted her to say I didn't have any conditions that needed managing and wasn't interested in her program and she got really snitty ... said something like "it must be nice" in a sarcastic tone of voice. Then hung up.

what a dolt. why do these companies waste time and money on this stuff. anthem actually sent me a survey and i told them to quit wasting bucks on all this self promotion, junk mail on meaningless wellness programs and jacking claims around. so annoying. if these people would read the records they have they would know that people like you and me have solved most of our health issues through wls - surgery that they didn't want to pay for.   D.
