Transition Time Friday
I came home from work and did a couple stretches, then had my salad while the dogs ate. got caught up on OH a bit and now I'm going to go listen to one of my self-hypnosis CDs.
I find those CDs helpful and try to make myself listen to them but so far haven't made it part of the plan. ditto, I have thought about a "rule" for myself that goes "no eating while watching TV" but haven't decided. will give this more thought as I don't want to start things I am not ready to keep doing.
what are you doing tonight? what do you need to avoid? I want to avoid eating recreationally and mindlessly, which is why not doing it in front of the TV might be a good idea.
tonight, I want to eat mindfully and only for hunger.
if I want a certain food and am not hungry, I can wait and eat it tomorrow. if I get hungry tonight, I will eat fruit and see if that is enough.

I so agree with you here. In fact, I'm watching TV and drinking flavored zero calorie water.....but I really want a big bowl of chips! Not going to happen. In fact, I've made a plan for tonights late night hunger. I'm going to eat canned green beans. It doesn't seem to matter what I fill my sleeve with, as long as it gets satisfied. I can eat green beans at less that 30 calories, or eat a bunch of GF cookies at the cost of 200 calories. I'm going for the green beans. I'm determined to get the rest of this weight off. I'm also there......almost there
So, green beans, that is what I'm going to do tonight, and I'm also monitoring a robotic pool cleaner. The pool should be ready for the kids tomorrow. First swim of the season!

my favorite late night snack is grapes. very sweet and satisfying and not very many calories. my dietician approved during weight loss phase. also today ate the best mellon - some kind i never heard of before called gallena or something. smallish and green with orange inside. very good. or if i have a spoon of peanut butter i feel stuffed. I am giving serious consideration to declaring a period of NO TV and eating at the same time; I just don't want to make a whole bunch of rules all at once.
I don't know about the siggy: I just add a photo I like and if it takes it I add text then I have to try it out to see if it works or not. trial & error.
