30 Day No Weigh Challenge - Day 4

Mission Statement:
I pledge to not weigh for 30 Days, to do everything in my power to lose my bounce back weight, to increase my exercise daily, and to have a positive outlook.  I pledge to take my mind and body to the next level and keep it there!!  I offer my support to YOU and request your support to ME!!  Let's do it!!

Random Thoughts:
-  Ok I had a good day yesterday
-  I am finding I am still snacking on healthy foods a bit too much
-  I plan to check my calories today and see how many snacks I can get away with
(OMG I just checked my calories for yesterday and they are a whopping 1321 cals!!  It is the almonds and the dressing!!  I will be making changes there today!  Good thing I checked)
-  I want to express my frustration, you guys are so lucky to be able to buy diet dressing, any kind of fresh fruit you want, etc.  This is something I HATE about living on an island.  I would automatically get diet dressing, but I am lucky to get any dressing here.  I would eat fresh fruit daily, but it is not fresh and it is so expensive.  I am feeling a bit frustrated!  Perhaps I can order it from Belize City and have it shipped over, I will look into it in the morning...  sigh...

-  I really want to lose weight on this challenge, but I also don't want to binge and go off plan
-  It is a balancing act for me, I may keep doing what I am doing, until I am sure I am really on my way, then I may tighten up the snacks a bit
-  I don't want to get to the end of the challenge and be the same weight, I admit I would be devistated
-  So I will try to be aware of my calories, especially for this first bit, I wanted to be on plan perfectly, and that is not happening, but I have a plan to make up for it or see if it is ok, so I think I am going to be just fine
-  Onward and downward my friends!

Cindy, there are disadvantages to everywhere. I can get fresh fruit (yay) but it's often not good quality and hardly ever organic. I can get frozen organic fruit but it's very expensive. maybe you can grow some? I've seen mini fruit trees that sound interesting and I'll bet there is a ton of things that would grow well in your area.

hurray for Thursday

Exercise......????

We are busy again today due to storms.  Meals and snacks are planned and with me.  Exercise I am not sure about since I will be working late again.  I did not weigh again but it is really getting hard.  I did not realize how addicted I was to it.  I just hope things are going well.  I will try my jeans on again Sunday but I really don't expect to see a change, but it would be a nice surpise.  I just have to remember it has only been a week.

I added a protein shake for breakfast today.  I realize I had not been eating enough protein so I am going to concentrate on that for the rest of the week and track the grams per day.  Hopefully it will help with the weight loss.

Cindy, In my mind I had always imagined you surrounded by fresh fruit and vegetables on an island.

Too funny about growing the fruit and being surrounded by fruit... our island is sand, pure white sand... no way would fruit grow here.

The only fruit I can get on a regular basis here is banana, pineapple, some melon and expensive apples...  oh well, we all have our trials and tribulations :)

There is a huge fruit and vegetable market in the city, but it is a 45 min water taxi ride away...

Thanks guys,

Cindy

Hello Ladies,

Have been fighting a headache and head cold starting. Doing pretty good. Need to get more water in. More exercise, but that will com in time as I heal! Still a but sore. Surgeon said it all looks good. Have a few internal stitches that are a bit hard but will recheck in two months. Unless they get worse, will be sooner.

Hope everyone is doing well....This chickie is still pluggin along, cold and all!!

Hugs and loves
