30 Day No Weigh Challenge - Day 2
Mission Statement:
I pledge to not weigh for 30 Days, to do everything in my power to lose my bounce back weight, to increase my exercise daily, and to have a positive outlook. I pledge to take my mind and body to the next level and keep it there!! I offer my support to YOU and request your support to ME!! Let's do it!!
Random Thoughts:
- I started off strong and excited
- I found the first 3/4 of my day easy
- I loved my new floor exercises and hand weights - shocked I actually did them, and look forward to increasing them daily.
- Reduced my walking distance and increased my speed, which may be surprising, trying to get more balance, I meditated, I read my diet book, I read my novel, I cooked, I had time for so many extras yesterday
- I bought a small white board to make lists of things I want to do, so that I don't get overwhelmed and do nothing... I just throw it on the list and get it out of my head, so I can focus on what I am doing now, and not all that needs to be done
- One of my hard times is from 3-5 pm, I planned for it, and chose that as the time to cool down from my walk, drink my water, eat my snack and read my diet book, worked like a charm
- I had an even harder time in the evening, hubby and I struggled and worked to keep each other on track. We both made the decision to have a small amount of yogurt and later a piece of happy cow cheese. We both realize it will get easier and that the first few days are the hardest...
- We have decided to do low carb for our first week, start off strong and git er dun!
- No headaches, no lack of energy, overall a very good day!

It was hard not to weigh this morning. I feel anxious, like my day is off. It will get better,it is just a habit I need to get out of. Yesterday was an OK day. I kept busy. Instead of snacking continuous after dinner I worked on my web page for my home based business...something I had been needing to do but putting off. Now it is done!
OK ladies, here goes. When you think of me, think 61 years old, 5'1" big bird. That is my body type. I gave you fair warning!!

good for you for starting & I'd like to ask, how anxious are you about not weighing? I have clinical anxiety and know how bad it can be.
meanwhile, assuming it's just an uncomfortable feeling, some ideas are
imagine you get on the scale and it says exactly what you want it to. Ah, I am now at ____ and it feels great. allow yourself to enjoy the feeling.
or
say to yourself, I don't need to weight myself. my body is JUST fine right now. then find something about yourself to appreciate. (and I love that green top you are wearing)
as in I Love that my body is now strong and healthy!
I'm kind of into affirmations, if you couldn't tell!
once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.
PM me if you are interested in either of these.
size 8, life is great
I love seeing the pics, and it will be incredible to watch you slide back into those teeny tiny two's!!!
Glad you figured out how to post your pics.
Have a fabulous day!
Cindy
excellent, Cindy, love all the random thoughts especially the white board (and focus on what you are doing) and the planning for late afternoon. I belive that is big (ha!)
I assume Barry is your husband? it's great he is doing this with you!
30 minutes of exercise today DONE!
later - some stretching and picking out one new exercise to do tomorrow morning before work
mid afternoon: assume the late day "hard time" will come, plan to listen to a specific self-hynosis CD and have a snack planned.

Thanks, I find putting my thought out there helps me and maybe someone can relate or offer support or guidance as the case may be :)
