Just about 3 years out & recent comment caused me to

Hello Fellow Sleevers,

Long, long time no post.....I will be 3 years out at the end of June and the other weekend a girlfriend told me that someone had asked her if 'I was sick'....and a couple other girlfriends had asked me if I was still losing weight.  Well, I had been 162 lbs. for the longest time, and hadn't gained or lost in over six months.

Out of curiosity I weighed myself this morning and was shocked to see 152 lbs.  I couldn't believe it, I am not one to be very religious with my food eating, although I do always have protein first and never, never push my full point.  Not quite sure how I did it, but Spring is in the air and I tend to run almost everywhere I go.  Most afternoons I have chocolate now, instead of coffee.  Just thought I'd share and be glad to answer any questions of all you newbies.  I hardly recognize anyone.

In Sleeve Sisterhood,

Suzi

It's nice to hear from older timers and to hear how you are doing with maintenance.  Sounds like you are doing just fine.  Did you go down in size too?

I'm at 163 and have set my goal at 159.  Being almost 60 years old, I feel that getting lower just wouldn't be good.  I have enough loose skin the way it is and can wear a 12.  If I got rid of my excess stomach, I'm sure I could wear a 10, but I'm not sure I'm going to spend the money to do that.

I would be interested in you tracking your daily intake and posting a thread about that.  It really helps to see what others are doing.

Thanks for stopping by and keep on coming!

Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

Yes, I did ...actually celebrated and went to Bootlegger's and bought 2 new pair of jeans....size 8, 28" waist.

I'm not far behind yah at 47 years old, I've also thought of plastic surgery but don't think I'll indulge that much money.

I will do a food diary thread on my 3 year surgiversary...you don't have a weight tracker?

Do you mean my weight ticker?  It's there.  Wondering if for some reason, you can't see it.  I need to update it though because I've lost 143 pounds and it says 139.

Hi Suzi,

Great to see you!!  Wow, too cool, now that you know you have lost that extra weight, how do you feel?  Are you ok with that weight?  Do you like being a size 8?  Do you plan to stay there or try to gain?  I bet you look fabulous!!

Pics PLEASE!!

Big hugs,

Cindy

Hi Cindy,

I feel pretty much the same but I have to say I've received tons of compliments in the new jeans....they are pretty form fitting, will post pics on my 3 year sleeveiversary.  I was just really surprised after staying at 162 for an entire six months, espiecially being an older woman 47 and our sapposedly slowed down metabilism ....probably a bit of muscle firming up also.

I know, I used to innondate you gals with my photos.....mind my spelling, at work and will not take time to spell check, will pop in more often.

It is great to see that after 3 years you are still maintaining and even losing. Being only 11 months out and at goal weight this is something that concerns me. I don't want to regain and I worry about being able to maintain. Reading how well others are doing makes it seem more and more likely that I will be just fine.
