Diane, I am glad to know you talked to Dr. C about this and he cleared you.  I just sort of cleared myself a few months after surgery and forgot to ask him about it.  How did you do at the dog show?  Did you have a good time?

Hi Elina, we have two more days of shows. chip is showing well but no championship points yet. Today he won his class but he has to beat winners of all male classes to get points. complex. the good news is that the dog that took the points today and yesterday finished its championship today so tomorrow it will be out of the points classes, thereby giving me a better change. handler had some grooming suggestions so i worked on that. so much easier dong this sport with 125 excess pounds gone.

btw, tried the seaweed chips. just as well i didn't really like them. my friends dog swiped them (after i had tried them) off the counter and sort of slimed the package. so they are dog treats now. dogs liked them. too saltly and fishy for me. but glad i tried them out.

Hi Elina!,

I have med controlled acid reflux! But, I drink a fair amount of coffee from about 9 months to a year out. I did drink it right from the hospital, but, at the beginning I didn't care for it at all! Then I was hospitalized and wasn't allowd any liquids/food for a couple of months. But, now I'd say its close to 8 to 10, 8oz mugs a day. Not a big water drinker bytimes. But, haven't had a problem with dehydration yet!

I have 2 cups a day for the most part! Since it is a stimulant, I would not give it up for anything! I need all the help I can get!

I am so glad you asked this question because I have been wondering the same thing. I drink about 2 to 4 cups a day, just depending on the day. Coffee seems to surpress my appetite so the days that I am feeling empty I tend to drink a bit more. I use sugar free flavored creamer to sweeten it.

I probably drink close to 40 oz of coffee a day, with no I'll effects. I would be a zombie some days without it!

I am still loving life with my sleeve! Been maintaining at or below goal for over 4 years!

I don't have any coffee for breakfast (gotta start tha****er flowing) BUT I drink sometimes 45 oz of decaf throughout the day.  I bought myself a beautiful 16 oz cup and I fill it with decaf coffee, 2 mini-moo creamers (10 calories each) and some Torani sugar free vanilla.

It's such a delicious treat and I always have one in the evening since that's the time in my other life that I'd snack all evening.  It's really very satisfying.

I have a double scoop protein protein coffee every morning.  It's a good eye opener and gets me 50 grams of protein right off the bat.  That helps free up my diet later in the day...more veggies and fruits!!
