Bow-legged anyone?

I've never had bowed legs, but since I've lost all this weight, I am now bow-legged.  Now my question is this:

* Did this happen because I have arthritic/bad knees?
OR
* and this is what I'm thinking - I went for so many years with huge thighs that my knees just naturally started to bow.

Has anyone else had this experience?

My biggest complaint about this is that I've lost 2 inches in height.  I can't put my knees together....but there's a gap between my thighs.

Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

Hmmmmm, no clue about this one. I have discovered things about my legs i didn't know about (like how incredibly fat they must have been as evidenced by inner thigh skin sag) but bowed legs is not one of them. Guess we all change over the years and these things may not revealed until we escape our fat suits.

One thing - hope you are getting enough calcium and D vitamin and such. Presume your labs are good. Would hate to think there is some bone change due to calcium deficiency.

More than likely its all that trick bareback circus horseback riding you have been doing!

Oh yeah, Diane.  And it was naked barback horseback riding too!  I'm thinking it is probably the arthritis, but the fat thigh thing did enter my mind.  Maybe a little of both.

Yes, I get plenty of calcium and Vitamin D.  My  labs are excellent.  I think the only bone change is that my knees aren't carrying around 145 extra pounds.

It is most likely caused by the arthritis.
When I was seen by an orthopedist in late August for the osteoarthritis in both my knees he stated I was now somewhat bow-legged due the arthritis.

That's good to know Lynda.  I'm now wondering why.  Google maybe will give me an answer.

Dr. Google says arthritis is probably the culprit.  I believe him.....even though he isn't always right.

Me too!  I'll take thin thighs with light showing through between them.  Bow legs don't bother me I was just wondering why I have them now.

Yes, Dr. Google is awesome!  He has freaked me out with lies before, but he recently diagnosed gallstones, so I like him....

I never thought about bow legs and arthritis.  My sister has a severe case of Reumatoid arthritis.  I'm going to ask her about it when I talk to her later today.
