Darn-it, I meant to post this over here on maint, but I posted it in the regular VSG forum,  How do I delte it over there so I don't double post?  Thank you.

My surgeon took this picture of my sleeve while he was removing my gallbladder on Friday.  I'm 6 months out.  He said my sleeve looked great with no problems.  He said this isn't a very good picture because he did not want to move ny inards around to much.  My liver is partially covering my sleeve.  He talked to my husband, so I did not get to badger him about exactly where the sleeve is in this picture.  My husband was of no help,  I painted an arrow to where I think it is.  Does anyone think I'm right?  If not, where do you think it is?  He told my husband that it was as tiny as the day he made it.  That's good news, it's not stretched out!  I love my surgeon by the way, he is so awesome!!!!!  He did another fine job on my gallbladder!!!

LOL....Diane, that was funny.  Over on the regular board their calling it organ porn, and everyone thinks my liver looks delicious and wants to eat it with fava beans!!!

But whre oh where is my tiny little sleeve?  My liver is phatty and huge.  My liver enzymes are up due to the gallbladder issue....I think the arrow is on the small part that is exposed.....what do you think?

hmm, i dunno. i never got a pic of my removed stomach like lots of folks do. i wanted one but now i am glad  i don't have it.  yeah, i think thats your little ol sleeve peeking from behind big ol' liver. bet the fatty liver goes away soon. mine was so fat that during my vsg my  sureon was alarmed and biopsied it.  just fatty. nuthin more. and i lost weight before surgery and was sort of a lightweight. who knew livers could be so tubby.  hope the gb stuff is ok now. diane

Thanks Diane.  I'm hoping everything goes well after I heal up.  The gallbladder was more than bothersome!  I think that your right, that the sleeve is peaking out behind gigantor liver.  I can't believe yours was still fatty even after the pre-surgery diet!  Can you imagine what it was like before that????

I know my gallbladder is why I have not lost any weight since this whole thing started (a month ago).  It's made me so tired and fatigued that I have not exercised, let alone got off the couch much!!!  I can't wait to feel better and get moving again!!!

My surgeon did say "Look at you in your skinny jeans" to me.....he told me I am a sucess story, and I am no wherenear goal as far as I am concerned.....but he thought I was already there!!!  That was a huge NSV!

I wasn't wearing skinny jeans, I was wearing boot cut jeans.  He meant they were small in size!

I'm glad you think so do....I thought that having the gallbladder gone would help......

I guess I have lost quite a bit.  When I feel better, and the tummy swelling goes away, i'll post new pictures.  I do have this one from yesterday though.  I have a wheat allergy and my dear sweet 13 year old daughter baked me a gluten free 3 layer lemon birthday cake with vanilla/lemon zest frosting....FROM SCRATCH!!!!  I'm so proud of her.

After I saw the pictures my family had taken, I was shocked at how much thinner my face had become.  I'm hiding my body though, because I was in PJ's and no bra (because of surgery).

Bek-Yes....LOL.....maybe the hellish Efudex treatment is part of the reason my face looks pretty good!!!  Ha Ha....I kinda forgot about that in the equation!!!  I don't quite think it peeled off 10 years like the Derm doc said it would....but at least that "hope" and preventing skin cancer kept me from quitting.....which was tempting....it was hell

Sas-Really?  You lost 10 pounds after your GB surgery????  Oh boy....I hope I do too!  Here it is just 4 days after surgery and I can tell my digestive system is working way better.  I have hope!  I also wish I could tell where my sleeve is.  I will be seeing my surgeon in a few weeks (post GB surgery appt.)  I'll ask him to point it out while I'm there.

I updated my Efudex blog if anyone is interested.
