VSG Maintenance Group
Moving in.......Hello!
Hello All,
We'll, I've reached my goal of 160 and a "normal" BMI. Don't really know what to do to "maintain". I feel like my whole life has been a battle to lose weight. I am thrilled to be hear just a little out of sorts as it feels like a whole new learning curve. So, any tips? Thanks and it's nice to see some familiar names here. How are you?

welcome to the maintenance group. it was started because some of us got to goal and then went "huh? now what?" And our doctors don't have the specific guides for maintenance like weight loss phase. That appears to be because maintenance needs can vary so much from person to person.
So we all share our experiences here in hopes of making this a lifelong achievement. Look through the prior posts and you will see a thread I did on what works for me in maintenance. Keep reading and you will find all kinds of hints and issues addressed. We are definitely boldly going where no one has gone before. Be sure to share anything you experience. And congrats on reaching your goal. There are few greater joys. Diane

Welcome and congratulations on making goal. I would suggest that you not make any huge adjustments in maintenance, just keep doing what you have been doing all along and maybe increase your calories by 100-150 a day and see what happens. Do this once every few weeks until you stop losing. That should prevent a weight gain and the yo-yo effect we are all so familiar with. You are going to find this is a great group of people and a wonderful resource for all of us. I am glad you are here.
