Do you think I am done losing?

I hit 160 5 weeks ago which puts me at the very top number for normal. For the last 5 weeks I have lost 8oz, gain 6oz or stayed the same.   Which is good because I will become a lifetime member at Weigh****chers next week for having successfully maintained a normal weight for 6 weeks...

However, I would like to lose 10-20 pounds more.

Has anyone continued to lose after the first year once they were at a normal weight? My NP said that the sleeve really works for 18 months so that I shouldn't be done losing.

Is this just a stall?  I never stalled out during the last year so I am not used to this.  Any helpful hints?

Speaking for myself.... I had to fight for the last 20lbs.

But, In a crazy way it was an enjoyable fight......the last twenty really makes the difference and the efforts sooo worthwhile !

Take it on 5lbs. at a time.....That's what really worked for me......

Are you exercising?  I've always been a really slow loser and I am sure the only thing that helped me get the last 10 off was exercising my brains out.

I bet you are not done. And if you want to lose a few more nows the time. Just keep to what you are doing and don't be tempted to "let up" on your program. Those last few may be the hardest but it sure is good to get into those little jeans.  I wouldn' t call this a stall so much as a slowdown of rate which is pretty normal. keep up the protein level or even up it. thats what my surgeon said to do and it worked.

You are only done when you want to be done.  There is no magic to this.  If you want to lose the last 20 lbs. you can do it.  It gets harder and harder as you get closer to goal, but it is very doable.  I am going to assume that you really want to do it and it's worth it to you to work for it.  If that is the case (and it doesn't have to be, this is not a moral judgment, just what works best for you), you probably need to increase protein, reduce carbs, step up the exercise and drink more.  In other words, you need to tighten everything up to get the last few pounds off.  Some people really don't think it is worth it, only you can make that decision.  Also, my guess is if you do nothing, you will still lose at least 5-10 lbs., but the last 10 or so is all you.

Is it really true?

After 18 months you are pretty much done losing like her Dr. said?

I hope not!!!

There comes a time when YOU have to put in MORE effort but your stomach capacity will pretty stay the same so it's up to you to decide what to put in it.

My long time sleever friend lost her last 30lbs after she stopped giving herself "permission" to eat things because "it's smaller amounts."  She realized her body is truly sensitive to cards and in order to finish losing and maintain for life she would need to reduce her carbs and calories and start moving more.  She was over 2 years out I think almost 3 years after not losing for 1 year.

I have to agree with the others here.  It's up to us if we lose more.  There's no magic here.  Weight comes off if we burn more then we consume.  My weight is coming off very slowly right now, but I'd like to shed 7-10 more lbs, just so I can hit the 100 lbs. lost mark.  It's a challenge.  But I know it takes work and determination.  Stick with the low carb, high protein, low calorie diet and exercise more.  Personally, nothing works as well as walking does for me.  I can lift weights till I turn purple, but walking seems to trigger the scale to go down, at least for me.  We can do this!
