I had 2-3 weeks of "thin" liquids (no yogurts or cottage cheese type stuff like you see on a full liquid diet, but shakes and milk which aren't on a clear diet) and 2-3 weeks of "softs" which is all the purees and mushy stuff. I actually stayed on that until week 7 because for reasons I can't even remember these days.

I am not a fan of the 5 day pouch test. It's just a fasting diet gussied up with a bariatric name. It really isn't even "designed" for RnY when it comes down to it.

IMO it's not a healthy way to eat and the weight loss most people experience on it is water weight just like with any fasting diet such as the cabbage diet or grapefruit diet. It also doesn't teach you how to eat for the rest of your life.

I found these very helpful to me.   My doctor mostly does bypass and i felt his program was geared towards them.   Even the paperwork he gave us, even in the hospital said,  "you just had a gastric bypass?"  no i didn't .  anyway  i think there is good info in there,  I hope it helps   good luck  :o) Jeani
