"NSV" if you want to call it that...makes me mad...vent

So now that I'm normal weight, I've noticed that some people are much more free sharing their opinions of fat people to me...even when I tell them I lost a lot of weight!!

People make me so sick sometimes. I met this guy who brags about being Christian, yet he repeatedly made comments to me about fat people. He then showed me a photo on his cell phone of an obese woman and her obese adult son that he took when they weren't looking. WTF is wrong with people??? This dude is 44 years old, not 14. Blech.

I've been fat and thin, and I'm the same person inside. People are so ignorant sometimes.

The reason I used "NSV" is because people look at me as a normal weight person. Unfortunately they also ASSume that I'm prejudiced against overweight people like they are. (btw- my mom is about 150 lbs overweight and my sister about 200 lbs overweight...so even if I never had a weight problem, they don't know in what they could be offending me!)

Ok had to vent. I was just fuming that this guy would take a photograph of these people.

Ugh.. people are quite disgusting aren't they.. I have had this happen to me as well.. with people at a work function of my hubby's joking and saying oink oink in regards to heavy people.. makes me sad for the people they are laughing at, and sad to know people used to laugh and make fun of me like that.. bleh.

I am still loving life with my sleeve! Been maintaining at or below goal for over 4 years!

this is a pet peeve of mine too. i will certainly never forget the insults and such that i endured as a fat child and adult. i hate hearing this stuff. hope you told this guy how stupid he was. Jesus never made fun of fat people.

Some people are just rude ******** and deserve a swift kick in the ass. They more than likely don't know what it's like to be obese and the every day social prejudices made about us..

It's just sad....

Even worse are the people who would talk about how fat people are right in front of you when you are just as fat, or fatter than the person they are talking about.  HELLOOOOO.  I have a co-worker who did this all the time and a SIL.  Do they really think that I'm not smart enough to know they were talking about ME and it was their way of hinting that I'm too fat?!?!?!?!

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

How very rude!  I've been on both sides of it, like my Mom suggesting (every single time she saw me), that celery is less calories than chips!  Did she not think that I knew I was overweight?  Yes, I've had people talking about "fat" people in front of me as well and I always tell them that my "inner fat girl" thinks they are idiots or I say something stupid like, well they can lose weight, but I doubt if you can lose stupid!  Yes it's definitely a sore spot with me (but yes, in a small way, it's nice to know that we are now considered average or whatever).

I whip out my fat pictures. It completely embarrasses them. Which I am hoping is a good lesson that stays with them once I'm out of the room... though I have my doubts with a lot of them.
