Interesting!

It depends on what my goals are, but when I'm trying to lose weight I eat around 1,100-1,200 calories a day. When I'm maintaining I eat around 1,800 a day.

My 800 cal days are long gone. lol

I eat several times a day also, usually 7-8 times a day.

Funny thing is, with all the **** I put in my mouth I thought it was WAY higher... I mean I eat every time the mood or the tummy strikes..  I just get full fast... it was an interesting thing to do, lol.. glad I don't have to write everything down anymore though- what a pia!

 I am still loving life with my sleeve! Been maintaining at or below goal for over 4 years!

Someone was fiending for her chippies and had to substitute, lol.. I swear, Herrs bbq chips are my crack!  I made enough cake pops for everyone- you know you want one.. seeing as how you lost 4 more pounds you (not so) big faker!

we are similar in the frequency of eating - I also tend to eat "all day long", never more than an hour or two from a snack or a drink.

I eat more than you portion-wise, later in the day. mornings about the same.

interesting, and thanks for posting!  I am aiming for the same style of maintenance - going by intuition rather than tracking numbers. I think the protein and carbs would average out similar to you.

ETA:  I think I vary a lot from day to day as far as calories. this is new to me as pre-op I always thought of each day as a "clean slate" - now I find if I eat more one day, I am less hungry the next. huh!  funny how that works!

Do you drink with meals?  I am wondering if anyone else does- I was thinking that was why I eat so often, but maybe its just normal for us..  I will not be tracking again any time soon- I am always running around and it was such a pain to pull out the ipad and make the notes... good thing my intuition is apparently not broken!  ha ha

in general, no I don't. I try to drink before meals so that I don't after, especially with coffee.   I sort of shoot for not drinking maybe 30 minutes after. if it's a bigger meal I can't anyway.

 I don't have probs eating with meals as long as I am sipping, but typically don't.  I too eat lots of small meals a day.  My doctor recommended just to eat 3 meals a day with no snacking...I just can't eat enough food in one sitting to last me that long.  I will start feeling really tired or get a headache or something if I don't eat often...not a pretty sight.

 OK...you've inspired me to do the same.  I typically don't track my food, but recently was curious how many carbs I was eating (didn't track anything though).  So starting today, I'm tracking everything that goes in my mouth and will let ya know how it turns out in a week.  Just to set expectations, I prob. won't be able to do times as well as you because my work schedule is crazy sometimes, but at least it will account for everything.  OK...now off to relax and finish up my food log for today.
