Wow...thanks for doing that.  I love seeing how other people eat.  What is a huggie, though?  Gonna have to google cake pop, too.

I answered the huggie thing below- sorry for my slang!

As for cake pops.. they are dangerous!  You make a cake and then food process it with frosting- then you roll into balls, put on a lollipop stick and coat in chocolate... OMG they can get to be addictive, lmao..

Fawn...I googled the cake pop thing.  Oh you are a brave soul.  I'd be scared as hell to have those in my house.  It might become a "how many cake pops can eat in day" kinda thing.  lol  Hey, the google recipe I saw processed them with cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk...oh my!

Hey Still Fawn,

Thanks for doing the "study"

Well, I was expecting it to look "way" different and I'm relived it looks the way it does......

I think it looks way more in-line for a lot of people than you think.

Although I'm still finding my sets & balances..... I don't think I'm going to end up to far from what your doing.

My surgeon will individually recommend  more small meals to a person who he thinks can handle it.

He said he can't recommend it as a broad statement for everybody because it can overlap into grazing.

Thanks!

Well, the foods I ate didn't surprise me, but the totals did.. I expected much higher in the calories.. coulda guessed the other numbers pretty close though.  My surgeon never recommended anything past the first month.. with the military the sleeve truly is "set it and forget it".. they see me once a year for labs now and that is it- everything else is find your way... As far as grazing- sometimes I do set a certain amount on my meal plate, and I will pick at it until it is gone- even if it takes 2 hours.  I am not sure if this counts as grazing, since I am mindful and doing it on purpose, but I am sure it is a fine line.  Also, I seem to be one of the only sleevers who drinks with meals.. I was not told not too originally, and just never started after reading it here...

First, I want to thank you for doing this.  It is really helpful to see how others are maintaining.  Here is the weird part for me, I am eating way more calories than you, but they are different calories.  I am averaging between 1200-1800 calories a day with about 50-80 carbs and about 80-110 g. protein. I eat much bigger meals than you do, for example i often eat two eggs with two pieces of laughing cow cheese light for breakfast, that's 270 cals right there, add in my latte for another 35 cals. and your have a 300 cal. breakfast.  it is awesome that you can eat the carbs and not get triggered, I am totally jealous of that.  I can eat frozen yogurt with chocolate chips and blueberries and be OK, but I can't eat ice cream and not start to crave like crazy.  It must be psychological.  Thanks again for doing this and sharing your amazing success with us.

The funny thing is I really thought that my calories would be *significantly* higher than they were... just because I really never tell myself no.  Want a snack, ok.. want an alcoholic drink, ok.. want dessert, ok.. I do not restrict myself but I just have a tiny tummy.. I guess like everyone has told me again aind again- I may be in trouble if my restriction goes away.. not sure at this point when and if that will happen though.. so I guess we shall see. I didn't have a single day with carbs under 90.. Some weeks- if we are on an Italian or Asian food kick- there are probably higher averages because of the rice and pasta.. in the summer the fats get higher because of all the good bbq, lol..
I love laughing cow btw- I ran out last week, but I eat em all the time!
