road trip

I have a major challenge coming up Saturday  - ROAD TRIP. both driving long distances and staying in hotels to me says drink tons of really strong coffee and eat lots of crap, get zero exercise.

I'll be away and not posting too. so a week's worth of my entire schedule messed up.

I think my goal will be to accept I am going to eat more and drink more coffee BUT to also get some exercise every day. to that end, I have chosen hotels with swimming pools and that will be good.  I  have planned to take 2 days on the road instead of one 14 hour day (ugh). not so rushed means maybe fitting in a walk. also I can drink a lot of water because I have time for potty stops.

gas stations: buy WATER  no need for candy, chips, not worth it. and instead  I have about 6 books on CD for the boredom of the interstate.

I'm going to try to do the exercise  and eat food - lots is OK - but go for mostly healthy.  I am packing apples, oranges, bananas, granola bars (I know) and pistachios for the hotel room, where I always feel anxious. (OMG I might get hungry!!)

also, restaurants and NOT fast food. take the time, eat a salad!

OK, it's a bit half-assed but that's my plan.

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

PM me if you are interested in either of these.

Sounds like a pretty good plan to me. Hope you have fun. And don't forget most gas stations sell string cheese, beef jerky and nuts which are ok.

And when I travel I stop at McDonalds and get a grilled chicken sandwich and eat the chicken and toss the bun. actually use the bun like potholders to eat the chicken and then toss them. Also, Carl's Jr. has a low carb burger which is a large burger wrapped in lettuce leaves. Its actually more than I can finish so i just get a regular burger and do the potholder thing with the bun and then toss them. I hear they now have a turkey burger too.  But you probably won't have to do that if you pack the right stuff. Much easier to take our own food.

Drive safely.

Sounds like a good plan.  You'll be fine.  I've noticed that most hotels we've stayed at lately have exercise equipment.  Maybe you'll get lucky.

Drive and eat safe!

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.
