anyone developing problems 3 years post-op?

I've started to have problems similar to a few months post-op when I would get "the foamies" if I tried to eat too much.  I cannot eat the same size meals I could a few weeks ago or a few months ago.  Wondering if perhaps there is scar tissue developing that is causing restrictions, anyone have a similar experience?

I know this is what we had the surgery for, to eat less!  But this is really painful and can come upon me half an hour to an hour after finishing a meal, so it's not like I can stop eating.  Also if I don't eat a certain volume I drop too much weight.

Could it be acid? Are you taking a PPI? I would try that, and I would also call the doctor to make sure it's not scar tissue or an ulcer or something...

Well, this sure merrits a call to Dr. J who is wonderful but you know that. Could be a stricture which i think is sort of a narrowing and I think is pretty easiy corrected. But only doc can tell you. I haven't had any such problem but i am 16 months out.

Please write in when you find out what it is so we can all learn from this. We will be thinking of you and hoping its nothing of any consequence.

Thanks, everyone, yes I'll go see Dr. J. (and yes I agree he is wonderful).  I was just looking to see if there was someone with similar issues.

I'd really like to know too. I have a friend who is 2 years out and can barely eat. Maybe she
has a stricture too?
