My Meanderings and Cadbury Eggs

OK  I made it thru Girl Scout Cookie season, not completely successful, but 1000% better than pre VSG.  My coworker was selling them at work and had about 50 boxes in our work area every day.  I went a week before my will power gave in.  So I bought 1 box (my beloved Carmel Delights), took them home, shared them with my fella, and finished them over a 3 day period.  Before, I would have eaten the whole box in 1 or 2 sittings (probably without sharing). So it was an improvement but I could have done better.  I DO NOT AND CAN NOT KEEP THIS TYPE OF FOOD IN MY HOUSE.

Now, HOLY CRAP, it is Cadbury Egg Season.  I will not buy any and I will take anyone down at work who brings them into the office.  lol  I said something about taking down a guy and work and he laughed and said I wouldn't be able to  "at my current weight".  lol

Now for my most recent Scale Victory.  It had slowed way down because I have been eating at maintenance calories instead of losing calories - not sure why - but at least I ate healthy and did not gain.  I lost 6 pounds in the last 1.5 weeks.  I had some sort of stomach bug - not sure from what.  It is possible, maybe from lunch meat??????  I will share this lunchmeat with anyone else who needs a jump start on losing.  Just send me your address.  Do I still have a sick mind or what??  lol

I think we have all gotten sick and then jumped on the scale. yes, kinda sick.

meanwhile, seems like it's candy and sweets season all the way from Halloween until Easter at least. for some reason those M&Ms in pastel colors are looking more tempting than the regular bags.

gah!

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

PM me if you are interested in either of these.

I'm not crazy about the Cadbury Eggs, but the Reeses PB eggs...OMG I just have to eat ONE.  If only I could stop at one...maybe I had better not.  *SIGH*

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.

Hmmmm, Cadbury eggs. I used to love their chocolate but never got into the eggs. think I will keep it that way.

So when you see those eggs in the store, imagine they were laid by real chickens whose eggs come out of the same opening that they poop out of. Think of those eggs as made of chicken poop. then you won't want them.

And lunch meat can really do it to you. I once threw up out the window of my brother's mercedes in a fancy part of Beverly Hills from some bad lunch meat. So tacky but I couldn't help it.

And wanda, I too am a recovering reese's addict. ONe day at a time......

Cadbury's is my favorite chocolate.  I was born in England and man is it good.   I love the little eggs and this is the first year i've seen them but so far i have resisted.  Hopefully i will be able to continue my one saving grace is now i only eat dark chocolate and to my knowledge they don't come in dark chocolate.  God  i hope they don't see this and start making them,  then i would be in BIG TROUBLE   lol  :o) Jeani

Hahahaha!!!

The funny thing about that is that the guy (a psychologist!) who runs our support group for a surgeon said that if you didn't think you'd make their strict weigh in before surgery, "just eat a little undercooked chicken."  Of course he said he was kidding.  But was he?

I have to admit that after being sick with what seems like my yearly stomach flu, I love that cleaned out feeling.

Oh, and I am totally with you on Cadbury, but I'm partial to the caramel eggs.  Man oh man did I gobble those up preop.  In the interest of full disclosure, I did buy some reeses eggs.  They are small one, 90 calories.  And a couple days this week I've had one with lunch.  I've had help eating them, and it has been so worth it, if only to find out that they (ohmygosh gasp) can actually be eaten individually!!  No need to eat multiples!
