Tummy Tuck - Have you had one or considering it?
I had another consultation with a different surgeon today. I immediately felt comfortable with him and his advice for me.
He is suggesting a full tummy tuck with muscle suturing (you know how those babies change our bodies!) - removing excess skin from upper and lower abdomen; basically moving things around to make a better contour.
His quote sounded fair, but wanted to bounce it off my buddies out here. Does $6.500.00 sound reasonalbe for a fully tummy tuck including post-operative care?

Revision from Sleeve to DS (with re-Sleeve) on 10/10/17. Slow and steady ...
I know it varies a lot by region, but that sounds like a great price to me. My tummy tuck would have been covered by insurance, but I had a quote from a non-covered dr, when i thought i wanted one, for $11,000. I am glad you felt immediately comfortable, that is important...
I am still loving life with my sleeve! Been maintaining at or below goal for over 4 years!
"People spend a lifetime searching for happiness; looking for peace. They chase idle dreams, addictions, religions, even other people, hoping to fill the emptiness that plagues them. The irony is the only place they ever needed to search was within." - Ramona L. Anderson
The price sounds amazing to me! I know the price varies by area but that sounds great. Check to see if he has done work on other bariatric patients, are skin is quite different from others. Also make sure you know where he will put the scar. Be prepared for a more extensive recovery than the VSG by far. Think closer to six weeks to feel totally normal again.
i would love a TT but thinks its not in the cards. your cost sounds pretty reasonable, though I haven't price checked. My problem is if i do tummy, i still have really saggy inner thighs, butt flaps, arm flaps and face sag. so its like painting one room of the house - then the rest looks like crap. I have kind of decided if I do anything it will be face since its most visible and since I am older anyway (59) and not a bad thing to do for this aging lady. oh well, will probably just live with it all and be grateful for my health. If I were younger I might be more inclined to do more. Diane
That's a deal! I paid 16K for TT and BA, using saline(which is cheaper than silicone).
I too, feel flabby all over, but these changes(and my turkey neck) have made me happy enough not to care about the rest.
My only advice from my personal experience," EAT! EAT! EAT!" This is the only time in my life after VSG that I was seriously concerned for my health. Recuperating from major surgery throws you into a hyper state of metabolism. My PS said I needed 3500 calories a day just for healing myself. It was impossible for me to do, and I lost 7 lbs in a week, and it took me months to put it back on.(I was already on the low end of my weight range before the surgery).
So if you have a few pounds to spare, enjoy the added benefit!
