Doing a little experiment...

And I am putting it on here so I wont forget to fini****!  LOL

All you faithful journalers have me curious.  I have never tracked my calories, carbs, etc.. nothing.  I eyeball my protein throughout a day, but that is it.  So, with all the debates about what is okay and not okay to eat, and obviously I fall on the side of ~WHATEVER WORKS FOR YOU IS OKAY TO EAT~ , I am curious about what I am actually intaking each day. So yesterday I started writing down every single thing I ate or drank, and when.  I am gonna do this for a whole week, because I really have no such thing as an average day, and I am gonna tally everything up and finally be able to say with authority what I eat, how often, how much, and how much calories, carbs, and fats are in my diet.

I am saying right now that the purpose of this is not to change my diet- I don't think there is anything wrong with it.  It is not to lose weight- I am at goal and happy.  It is just to satisfy my curiosity and to give myself some absolute truth when I answer people's questions instead of just guessing.  I do not mind if you criticize my choices- I am putting them out there in public after all, but please do not simply tell me I will gain all my weight back because I ate X,Y, or Z, because I tend not to believe that anyway.

That's it.. just throwing it out there.. this time next week I will post my results, even if no one else cares, lmao..

And FYI- writing everything down all damn day while running around like a chicken without a head is a pain in the ass!  I don't know how you all do it regularly!

I am still loving life with my sleeve! Been maintaining at or below goal for over 4 years!

HA!  :}  It takes a lot less time to do it when you have habitual foodstuffs like me.

Science is kewl!

I wish I had habitual foodstuffs- it would make life easier in general.  I just get bored too easily with the same foods- I do not even eat leftovers.  For a sleever that is insanity- luckily my hubby is a human gargbage disposal, and thanks to the USMC he can be without gaining weight, lmao..

I science

I thought of something while the girls and I were hiking in the woods that might help during the day for your experiment, instead of having to write down everything if its inconvenient, do you have a phone that takes pictures?  You can snap a picture and then write it down later?

I do mine at Sbux  between my walking......while having my protein coffee....and people watching.  I only track prot....carbs.....water.....that's it......... not cals and fat.  Not interested in becoming too obsessive over it.....and I'm a lazy-ass!  I know people log stuff on-line etc......seems too much like work! Takes me about 5-10 min.   Works for me!

So are you going to start throwing the "o" word around now, man?  Wookout!

I log in a program on my computer, it might take 5 minutes, but probably less.  I need to log so I can make sure I eat enough to keep my womanly bumflaps!

LOL- you always crack me up!  I am not interesting in becoming obsessed either.. but as a voice of a contradicting opinion I wanna make sure I am not blowing smoke up peoples asses when I tell them what eating in maintenance is like for me...
