OT: Why did Costco get rid of my Shrimp Wonton Soup???
Okay, so they still have it, but they've brought in a different one that now includes stupid noodles too. Really? You go from a reasonably balanced cup of soup with five shrimp wontons to now a bowl of soup with 40 carbs packed with the same five wontons and a whole gob of stupid noodles.
Grr! That was a great go to dinner.

I know--I accidentally bought the new stuff, and then realized when I got home that it was full of icky noodles. I'm giving them to a friend with an 18 year old son who can eat ANYTHING! I've been worried that they discontinued the other soup, but you say they still have it? I'm going back this weekend...

Complain to the customer service desk and maybe they'll switch back! I have never heard of noodles being in wonton soup anyway! I love my Costco. I get my bagged salad mix, grilled chicken, rotisserie chicken, canned chicken/canned tuna, canned green beans, frozen broccoli, frozen shrimp, cottage cheese, string cheese, yogurt, English cucumbers and all the other staples I'm forgetting there!
I've wondered if you could get a package of the frozen shrimp wontons and then just heat them in some canned chicken broth. Even in our rural area there is a restaurant supply store that sells frozen entrees and frozen egg rolls and other common chinese restaurant items. Might be worth a look. Diane
I agree on the packaging too. I recycle all of it, but it still is a lot.
I think I'm just going to use chicken broth and add a few frozen shrimp and maybe some chopped green onions before microwaving. I peel off the won ton part anyway and discard it. It's so easy which is why I've bought then.
I recently bought 2 rotisserie chickens at Costco and boned them. I froze the meat in 3 oz snack sized zip locks...perfect because it's quick to thaw if I don't plan in advance. I can make a salad or just chop and mix with a tomato and some Cheese Fantastico Italian dressing. Very easy and handy.
