Cravings!! Men vs Women!!
Jimbo, I think you're spending too much time at the coffee shops!
Anyway, I'm a sweets eater. Always have been and it didn't change after surgery. I keep em SF now and it keeps the cravings under control. Real sugar ramps things up and I have a hard time stopping and have to go no carb for a couple of days to get things back in check.
Now there are times of the month I feel like a bottomless pit and THAT is related to my hormones. I'm conviced I need more calories at that time because I never gain and always have a loss a few days later. We'll see how that goes now that I'm in maintenance!

I am simliar- there is usually a week a month where I am hungry more often and can eat more at a time (it is actually this week for me, lol). It is not when I have my TOM but rather when I am PMSing. I do not think it is head hunger either- it is the only time I ever feel famished, lol. I *do* gain right before my TOM every single month, but it happens literally overnight and disappears just as quickly, so I don't worry about it.
I am still loving life with my sleeve! Been maintaining at or below goal for over 4 years!
"People spend a lifetime searching for happiness; looking for peace. They chase idle dreams, addictions, religions, even other people, hoping to fill the emptiness that plagues them. The irony is the only place they ever needed to search was within." - Ramona L. Anderson

I don't like hamburgers all the much or bacon but every once in a while I will start jonsing for a bacon cheeseburger.
I also crave nuts a lot.
And chocolate.
I generally prefer sweet foods to salty/crunchy ones though.

I have always been a sweets eater, that hasn't changed one bit! The one thing that I've added to the sweets is having something salty with it - salted peanuts with dark chocolate is my favorite.
I do crave In N Out on a regular basis :) In fact, maybe that's what I'll have for lunch today!

I haven't experienced hunger or appetite since July. I do miss it since I almost force feed myself. I can literally go almost 2 days without eating, not that I am trying to do that.
Now that I have a boyfriend (YAY ME!!!), we eat out and I am eating more regularly. And the poor guy thinks I'm too skinny, lol!
The best NSV: last night we went to a seafood restaurant, shared a fish dish and he served me the perfect portion size I can eat. He learned fast, lol!
If my little head craves anything, it involves cake like red velvet or chocolate and occassionally toll house choc chip cookies that you bake at home - these cravings are always related to my period.
Mine would be good, thick crusty bread...whole grain or white...I don't discriminate, with lots of real butter.
I've got a 3lb bag of both plain and peanut MnM's, a 3lb bag of assorted Hersey kisses/reeses and a 3lb bag of some kind of Hersey nugget bars. i see them every time I go into the pantry and they don't even turn my head. Before surgery I was a sugarholic. That's a ****load of chocolate. I think I'm addicted to buying it...but I don't know why I do it.

I just like to have it available *in case* I want some. But I hardly ever eat it and when I do, I only eat one piece. I guess it's part of my food neurosis to buy large quantities of it. We've also got no less than 6 different bags of chips too. I don't eat those either! But in my defense I also buy huge bags of raw nuts and I also have four 5lb containers of my favorite protein powder...all the flavors that are made in that particular brand. Also buy lots of eggs, greek yogurt, cottage cheese, sliced cheese, etc. So call me crazy, but I love excess. I do the same thing with fruits and veggies and usually have to toss a lot of it. And also my family loves all that junk and they are skinny...so...
