everybody is free to speak their truth and that's the way it should be. I have made the mistake of taking it all too seriously but usually I don't. I recommend the light-hearted approach for everybody.some of us (you, me & Fawn come to mind) eat more carbs than most here. so what? doesn't have to be a big hairy deal.
but I understand sometimes it is. you notice I don't say "it's only the internet" because we are PEOPLE, no "just" anything so sometimes people get upset.
meanwhile - I'm putting same fruit in my oatmeal and calling it good. post on!
You know a funny thing is that early post op...you know, that phase when you can barely eat anything BUT protein, I was losing painfully slow. So after 3 months of that nonsense, I added back in my good carbs...like oats and whole grain breads, etc., and guess what happened to me??? My weight loss actually picked up! My Doctor was shocked, but I wasn't because I had tried the ketogenic diets before and never lost much. For ME and MY body, carbs help facilitate weight loss. Now, I am very active by choice and have been for more than 20 years. And that is NOT going to stop. I have had many sports related injuries over the years and currently have an injury. But do I let that sideline me??...hell no. I find a way to work around these issues because a life sitting on the couch sucks! And I DO wear a size 4 at 5'7, but that is just a by product of a healthy lifestyle whi*****ludes carbs and plenty of exercise!

Oh God Jimbo, I never take your referral the the "c" word as anything other than humorous. In fact, the first time you wrote it my mind went to a very dirty place because the "c' word in the non wls world usually refers to something totally different! Capice??Laura
