Get A Grip

I am, if nothing else, direct in my approach to life and issues. I do not try to conquer and divide. I do not try the stealth approach to life, that is not my way.
Apparently Sublimate has blocked me and felt it necessary to post it for everyone to see that she had done so. I will not even begin to speculate her motivation for doing that other than it smacks to me of Junior High childish bullcrap.
Yes, this time I am directing this at her, though in the past nothing I have done has been directed personally at her, though she has chosen to see it that way repeatedly.
Apparently she also thinks I have been following her around on the boards which is laughable. I did respond to a post that someone posted about a thread she posted about Dr C and I again stated my beliefs about low carbs and low calorie eating post op. I cited and example using myself and how if I wanted to wear size 0. I did not personally attack anyone, nor did I intend to attack anyone personally.
As zealous a sublimate is in her beliefs I am equally zealous in mine and I will continue to post my experiences, my articles and my information until someone shuts me down.
I am sorry some folks take it personally that I disagree with ideas, even I disagree passionately.
There appears to be a concerted effort to quiet opposing opinions to the low carb/low calorie way of life.
I am not asking anyone to live as I live or to eat as I eat.
I am not asking anyone to become physically active as I have, though one could chose to if they wanted to.
I am only asking that I not be judged for my choices and that I be allowed to freely speak about those choices.

Whatever you do is it truthful, necessary and kind?

Thanks I did not see exactly what she posted only that she is encouraging others to see her post about blocking me and asking them to "guess" who she blocked and I think giving them the link to what I posted.
For me this was only a difference of opinion but she has made it personal and that is where I draw the line.
I AM passionate about my beliefs and I don't apologize for that.
I am opinionated and I make no bones about that nor do I pretend that I am not.
I have nothing against any surgeon or program per se.
I have a huge program with what I perceive to be zealots who cannot tolerate any view but their own and see gloom and doom in any way but their own.
Like I said in a previous post if your only tool is a hammer everything looks like a nail.
Whatever you do is it truthful, necessary and kind?

Yeah.. I disagree with the call out as well. Obviously she has the right to block whoever she wants, but blocks are usually private. I make no secret of the fact that I do not low carb, low fat, low anything. I feel as though I am successful also, and it isn't related to a size zero- which I do not wear. Hell, at a size zero I would almost certainly lose my womanly charms anyway, lmao.

I will say though, that even though almost everyone here (and on the regular VSG board) disagrees with how I eat and approach post-op life, no one has tried to stop me from posting my opinion yet.. not that it would really stop me.

I am still loving life with my sleeve! Been maintaining at or below goal for over 4 years!
"People spend a lifetime searching for happiness; looking for peace. They chase idle dreams, addictions, religions, even other people, hoping to fill the emptiness that plagues them. The irony is the only place they ever needed to search was within."   - Ramona L. Anderson

I love the quote in your signature live.
It reminds me of a line from a song I love

It sails within

The great thing about this site is we can share our journey.   And this is not a one size fits all.  We all choose our own way and i applaud you and everyone else who is successful.  I love hearing how others are handling their journey and i have always enjoyed your posts.   I wouldn't worry about anyone else.  Do what is working for you and enjoy your new life.   :o) Jeani

I have actually had people tell me privately that the reason they don't post much anymore is because of the "carbs are evil" mentality on the boards. It just gets old when you don't subscribe to that belief.

(triggers are a whole different issue)

Mandy, I don't get that.  I see there are a lot of low carbers and some of us aren't. I never feel like I can't post about it.

and it doesn't get old for me because if it is something that doesn't particularly apply to me I just skim over it or skip it. easy.

tell your carb-eating friends to c'mon back!  last night I went out with a friend and we both had steak but I also had

I brought a lot home and I'm going to eat it again today.

won't hurt me a bit!

any day I don't have a Binge is a good one and that is the stuff I post about.

I think the more variety we have in this group the better it is.

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

PM me if you are interested in either of these.

I'm a non non-carber too. I enjoy them and feel they help me keep things in balance.

As long as people aren't offering dangerous advice ... I think we should all be able to speak our minds and share what works/doesn't work for us. After all, we aren't cookie cutter - we all have different things that work for us.

Thanks for posting.

Revision from Sleeve to DS (with re-Sleeve) on 10/10/17. Slow and steady ...
