Hey, its a date. I will bring my board and tournament pro-tiles and the Official Word List. If you are not a tournament player, I will teach you tricks so you can lay others to waste!  Diane

Well folks, had a decent day at the tournament. Won three and  lost four games today. Seven more games tomorrow. A couple of players dropped out so we only had two divisions so I have to play mostly better rated players than me. Oh well. Did win the game I most wanted to as it was against an obnoxious person.

And BTW, competative Scrabble is not as much about spelling as you might think since lots of words have alternative acceptable spellings. You have to know all the two and three letter word; expecially those with q, x, z or j, but the game is actually a lot about space and geometry as where you put your play can make a huge score difference. There is a lot to strategy and defensive moves too. Not to mention the psych-out part.  Its fun.
