I have a fabrication shop as a part of my business.

I fabricate all kinds of things in my shop from photo props for stills and film to race car/motorcycle parts. It is both a hobby and profession. I love to build Metal Art, furniture and custom accessories.

I'm currently building a Custom Motorcycle.....think low, long, fast and so much torque you don't want to have wonky re-routed intestines.

Jim's Bling was made from 7075 T-6 Aircraft Grade Aluminum Billet. I machined the circle on my "milling" machine. Just rough sanded and clear coated.

I designed the graphics on one of many Apple Macs we use. The graphic was than uploaded to a PC that runs a Roland Computer Controlled Vinyl Cutter.

The chain is 100% pure ......dog choker chain bought at Pet Club, cut and fitted to the hunk of aluminum.

The shirt graphics were cut out on the Roland machine with a heat sensitive material than transferred onto an Astyle Tee(choice tee of hip hoppers) with a commercial heat press.

You run a fabrication shop??!

Hey, maybe you can make the medals for my Diwali 5k (and potluck) in Oct. How much would 50 2.5 inch diameter medals cost?

I already posted something in the South Bay WLS group. You guys should join!

I'm not going to reserve the picnic area until Aug. and then I'll start pimping it all over.

But it's going to be Oct. 30th, the last day of Diwali and we're going to run in the late morning around Lake Elizabeth (in the middle of Fremont) and then have a potluck lunch.

I haven't decided how many runners I need to limit it too. I don't want to have to get permits. I figure that renting a picnic area entitles us to the use of the park so if 25-50 people start running around the lake at some point it should be okay. But if hundreds start running, I'll get in trouble.

Thnks a million Frisco for posting this and for your efforts in celebrating this awesome achievement. Its tantamount to winning the super bowl of vsg and worthy of making a big deal about it. So great of you to do this for our most sucessful vsg guy Jimbo. If there is a vsg Hall of Fame, he is a charter member (you would be inducted too).

Anyway, really appreciate you sharing this with those of us who couldn't be there.

And Jimbo, you rock. Can't tell you how much joy I get from reading this stuff and following your story. Bet chicks are chasing those donut-free lips!
