This post was initially set up by Diane, primarily to encourage you 'slugs' to do some form of exercise, anything, even if it was just 10 minutes a day. It was set up for you non-exercisers, although exercisers were encouraged to participate, motivate and cheer on the non-exercisers!! Diane, the Queen Slug is watching you and promises to check in here daily and set a good example of how it's done!

Hello sweet ladies,
I have gained so much weight and my hideout group seems all but have to have vanished so I hope you do not mind if I slot in here.
I have been away for solong because I have been gaining, but have started eating properly today, and will be doing my first visit to the Gym today in a Year.
So hold thumbs that i do not pull my something.

Welcome!! You have come to the right place! You will get all the support, encouragement and ideas you need here.
Don't worry about the gaining, you are in good company here, several of us have gained, and we are working on getting our gains off, getting to goal, and learning how to maintain.
Congrats on starting back on your eating plan today, and please take it slow for your first day back at the gym. Get someone there to hold your thumbs if that will help, and I hope you don't pull anything!

So glad I turned a really sucky day yesterday in to an eating and exercise victory. I will continue today with a nice power walk (possibly two as my walking buddy returns today) and some time logged on the elliptical this evening.
I always feel better when I'm in control and doing good things for my body. I am very excited about the fact that we have this wonderful support system to keep us motivated.

Good for you! Every single extra step you take is getting you more active. Being 'aware' of your activity I also agree with you is a big step in the right direction!
You are doing great, keep up the walking, take the stairs, park the car further away, get it in any way you can... keep moving in and around your daily activities.
