   Daily Exercise Check In - Monday, Mar14/11 

This post was initially set up by Diane, primarily to encourage you 'slugs' to do some form of exercise, anything, even if it was just 10 minutes a day.  It was set up for you non-exercisers, although exercisers were encouraged to participate, motivate and cheer on the non-exercisers!!  Diane, the Queen Slug is watching you and promises to check in here daily and set a good example of how it's done!

Power walk with stairs--20 minutes....DONE!!!!!!!!

Lots of walking around the hospital again today!! I'm getting to the point where I cant sit still. I feel like I'm constantly up and down. However my weight has been more stable over the last few days. I guess that tells me sitting at my desk all day with only a couple of breaks isnt good!! I really need to move more but it's hard when you are tied to the phone! Oh well, will enjoy moving for the next couple of days before heading back to work on Wednesday, hopefully!!

Good for you.  Walk... it will be good for your stress, find some stairs and do those while you are there also... it will be good for your mental and physical health, with everything that is going on!

Perhaps you could use one of those phones with a headset and a thing clips to your waist.  Then you would not be tied to your desk, just to the phone!!

Anyway, you will do great!  Just keep tryin!

Just back from the gym.  25 min on the treadmill, 30 min. strenth training.
Highest weight ever recorded: 224lbs.    Surgery weight: 194 lbs.
Goal range:  130-135 lbs.

Excellent!!  Great Job! 

I envy you, I wish I had a gym here!  Oh well, I will keep walking and thinking about doing some floor exercises...  I need a floor mat!!
