TAKING PICTURES OF YOURSELF ALONG THE WAY! ESPECIALLY PICTURES WITH SKIN SHOWING WILL SHOW YOU YOUR PROGRESS BETTER THAN YOU CAN *REMEMBER* !!

Newbs, take pictures of you, measure yourself!!  Not newbs, yall too!  For me (for those who do not know) plastic surgery was never going to be an option unless it was medically necessary. Period.  The end.  So I knew I would have to lift to give my extra skin as nice a frame to drape on as possible :}

I found a picture from 03/2010 that had been on one of my lost profiles and is gone from anywhere else, but luckily, I have a book of before and afters that I have with before and afters from..oh.. 1997.  :}

This is to encourage you, your skin is going to change, and if you are building muscles remember that they mature.  Also know that you probably will not build muscle with the same ease in different places of your body.  My shoulders/back/arms build up relatively easy, but my hams and bootay? Not so much.  My quads and calves build up easily also.

Here is an interesting/scary? thing - see when I had to stop lifting between 11/2009 and 03/2010?  Can you see how much muscle mass I lost?  OY!

Getting sloppy with exercise, like getting sloppy with eating is insidious, like boiling frogs, it creeps up on you, the longer you are out of practice the easier it is to make excuses.

So you can see my bottom has some bumflaps and the back of my thighs are not all tight and musckley, but I am working on it!  And here is the thing, THIS IS GOING TO TAKE TIME!  And its okay.  I am learning about me as I go, I am DOCUMENTING things so I can SEE my progress, so if I ever fell into the "I gained 5 pounds, and I feel as bad as I did at 267 pounds" that I can have a good dose of reality, you know?  I might feel those 5 pounds and not feel as great as I did 5 pounds ago, but come on, stop with the drama and be realistic and LOOK AT HOW FAR I HAVE COME!!

I encourage yall to do the same, somehow DOCUMENT your journeys in a way that your twisted torturous mind cannot tell you "you are just the same now as you were then"  Because you are not.

And I would encourage us to find a way to document our journey, so we can see if we are getting sloppy with some of the structure that was so helpful to us before!

THIS JOURNEY AINT EVER GOING TO BE OVER UNTIL I BREATHE MY LAST!!

Here's to being a science experiment of one and all of us being a science experiment and sharing what we learn!

I am thankful for yall and am glad to have yall to share my journey with!

Brandy, you look GORGEOUS!  What a great job you have done!  Love the calm, level-headed approach you have.  Wish we lived closer and could be weight lifting buds!

Thanks girlie.  I think the calm level headedness only came out of years of frantic get it off NOW so I could, could what? go back to how I did before and gain it all back?  Yes.  That is exactly what I did before!!

So this time, methodical, documenting, not doing the things that did not serve me well before!

I am not a good exercise partner.  :}  Exercise makes me grumpy while I do it!

Unless its ZUMBA!!!  :}

Yes!  Well, I thought bumflaps sound more fun than "redundant buttcheek"

Or melting bootyflesh.  :}

Interesting note....from picture 1 to picture 2 even your hair looks so much healthier. I realize you may have done something different to it however as I lose I'm noticing I am overall healthier....excess fat kills the whole body.

It had probably been recently colored.  Now I have my natural hair, including all my graces because I just could not tolerate the seaweed I was sporting any longer, and I had enough growth (without color) to have it cut off and be natural in November.

Now I am trying to decide if I like all the graces (the grey) in my hair, or if I oughta go get all my fun stripes again!

Yea, excess fat kills the whole body, and its sad but true that we let it murderize our souls in chunks too, sometimes.

My oh my oh my oh my!!  What a body!  And the sexy pretty pink panties are a beautiful sight to see.  I am so proud of you Brandi, you really are something else.  You are transforming your body all over again.  You must be please with your butt, it really is coming along nicely, I can definatley see the difference in the muscle there... very nice.

You know that is not the kind of body I aspire to have, nope, at 6 ft tall I would look just like a man, I also have very broad shoulds, but on you honey, man you where it well, and you look fabulous.

It makes me want a home gym more than ever, not for the muscle, but for the toning...  ahhhh, maybe when we move to Tonga :)

I would love to stop focusing on the pounds and start toning...  I am getting through my books and trying to hang on while we are in our busy season, perhaps then... perhaps not...  we will see.  I know it takes work and commitment.  Size means everything to me, so I bet if I toned up really nice, I would look so much leaner than I do now, I may put on pounds, but I could eat more, and weigh more, and look better, it would be a great trade off...  I have done it before, but there were 10 gyms to choose from, here there are none.

I am thinking of setting up a Program for my new Island on Hunga (they are known for being very fat people as a whole nation), I will help any of them that are interested to slim down and tone up...  but we will see.  It is just an idea.  Not to make money, to help them and myself in the process...

You are my hero honey,

Cindy

Cindy,

I've only tried Pilates once before so I don't know first hand, but I've heard it is great for creating that lean, long look and definitely tones and builds muscle...just in a different way.  I keep wanting to try it again, but I am intimidated by the classes where everyone knows what they're doing cept me.  The only time I went there were 3 ballerinas in the class... All I could thinks was....are you fricking kidding me? LOL

lol too funny about the ballerinas!

I have no idea what Pilates is, but now you have me curious...  We don't have a gym here on our beautiful small tropical island.  But I will see if this is something I can do on my own at home??

I will Google it, I have heard of it for years and don't have a clue what it is.

Thanks so much, long, lean and toned is what I am looking for.

Hugs,

Cindy
