3 years out and doing great!!

HI Everyone,

I cant believe it will be 3 years since I was sleeved. I was a lapband to sleeve revision so I started this journey 8 years ago.

Start weight 2003 : 340's
Lapband surgery wei8ght 2003: 334
Lowest band weight: 180
Revision weight 2008 : 242
Lowest sleeve weight: 167
Present weight: 170's

A year and a half ago, I gained about 15 pounds, lost half of that and since then I have been bouncing from 174-184. I am presently in the 170's and I have been maintaining this weight for 18 months with no effort.

Since my body likes it here and I am still wearing the same clothes since 2008, I decided that I am happy. Would I like to get back in the 160's again? Yup. However, maintaining is just as important to me.

I eat whatever I like and drin****asionally, just not as much of it. I do have a sweet tooth, but too much of anything sweet makes me sick as a dog so it is a deterrent. Also, I am lactose intolerant so ice cream and milk is mostly out although I will indulge once in a while.

The only thing that I dont like is that I am flabbier from lack of exercise. I looked a lot better when I went to the gym. There is no one to blame but myself!! So my commitment is to get in exercise again, take off 10 pounds and keep doing what I am doing to be successful. Despite some of my own sabotage, I have maintained a 160 lb loss from my all time high and I am happy. SO if you dont mind, I will keep coming here and start reporting my food, drink and vitamins.

Hugs,
Babs

Hola chica!!

Sorry I had to disconnect earlier this week!! I just ate a Nutty bar. I know......baaaad!! Today I had a whole tuna sandwich and a nuttybar. OK half a nuttybar and the sandwich I ate half at a time over an hour.

I need t work on my food habits if I want to lose 10 lbs more and get back to my low.

Anyway, I am glad to be here!!

Welcome to our group. Always wonderful to hear from a successful maintainer. And thats excatly what you are in spite of that fluctuation of a few pounds. The more we talk here the more we see thats pretty normal. You have done so well and will continue to do so, I can tell.

So report in on the exercise daily check up (where I failed today and was forced to confess) but take a moment to be proud of what you have done. It be good!!!!     Diane

Hi,

Done with testing. They thought I had crohns and I dont. They have no idea why I have ulcers in my ileum. (small intestine) but after two pill cameras, 3 colonoscopies, 2 endoscopies and a myriad of blood tests, I am finished!! I think I will stick with iron infusions! But thanks for asking!!
