Daily Exercise Check In
Ok, here is today's thread for the daily exercise check in. I saw a few who already reported in on yesterday's thread. Great.
I have not yet done my work but wanted to start this thread for the day. If anyone else gets on line before I do, go ahead and start the Daily Exercise Check in thread and report what you have done. It sure doesn't have to be me that starts it and since I am on the west coast, some of you will be at it earlier.
So in the next hour or so I plan to take the dog out for a 15 minute walk before I go play scrabble as I am now in training for an upcoming scrabble tournament. very competitive. Will report in later when I actually do the exercise.

I'm pre VSG, but love this idea! I need motivation. I want to lose 10% of my body weight before surgery. I have a feeling, actually, I know excersize is KEY!
My kids are all athletes and the last thing they want to do is go on a walk with mom after having 3-4 games and 1-2 practices a week (EACH!) I have to do it by myself and rely on ME.
So, I decided to join the group and keep up with this thread. Today is the first day of a great week! Started out taking the dogs (and the husband..wow...he's becoming very supportive lately) for a 15 minute walk. Well, 15 minutes turned into 1 hour!
I learned two important lessons today...
1. get your shoes on and get out of the house. getting out the front door is harder than the actual walk, BUT so worth it!
2. Always...and I mean always carry water. Thought I was only gonna do 15 so I didn't bring a bottle. So thirsty when I got home. Post surgery that could be a real problem to catch up on water intake.
Hope to post tomorrow! Thanks ya'll

Ok, as promised I took doggie Liza for a 15 minute walk around the neighborhood. Someone else said that just getting the shoes on and out the door is the hardest part. So true. Once you get going its fun to look around at the neighbor's flowers and doggie sure loves it. And didn't encounter any loose dogs. In our neighborhood one might see deer, skunks, fox, or even goats or other livestock in the street or people on horseback.
Then proceeded to sit on my behind and play competitive scrabble but won 3 of 4 games.
