Good News in Sleeveland
I woke up this morning to a great number, 103.8 lbs. This is my average weight for the past two months. I am really happy with this number. Here are a few lessons I learned in the last few days.
1) Keep weighing myself everyday, if I had not, I would have missed the two pound average gain and continued to gain until I was at least five pounds heavier.
2) Keep journaling my food even when I no longer feel I need to do it so that I can more easily diagnose any problems when they arise.
3) Save the drinks for really special occasions not just having fun with friends. Even though it was just two drinks every couple of weeks, and I always chose low calorie ones, it is still not worth it.
4) As much as I hate it, I must start to exercise. Diane new thread will help keep me motivated. In order to make this happen, I will wear tennis shoes when not working as a reminder that it needs to happen.
5) The really good news is that the sleeve still works at 20 months out. I was careful with my eating for two days and the two pounds came right off. It might get harder down the road, for for now it works just fine when I work it. Just for informational purposes, I ate 830 cals. yesterday. This is still a little more than Dr. C's 600-800 during losing phase, but it still got me there for now.
6) I have the best support system in the world through you guys. You help keep my head in the game and calm me down when I start to freak out a little bit. I really am so grateful for each of you. Sometimes the ghosts of weight regain past come knocking on my door and go "Boo", you guys help me deal with it. Thank you.

Tee Hee Elina, I just knew those couple of pounds would disappear as mysteriously as they appearred and that you would not need to seek the nuclear option (lecture from Cirangle). Glad you are back where you are comfortable and shared your lessons. We all need to remember that what we eat or don't eat today wont be reflected on the scale tomorrow as it takes our bodies longer to make those adjustments. thats why daily weighing can drive some people nuts. I try to keep this in mind. Think I will ask guru a question about this when i can.
Anyway, so glad you are feeling better about this.
And BTW, I got some hot pink converse tennis shoes (see my after picture on my page standing in front of the cactus). Its more fun to walk if you have funky cool tennis shoes. they were on sale. wish i had bought two pair or another ridiculous color.

Great post Elina. I'm really glad you posted an update. I may not have posted to your original thread, because I'm not at goal, but I read them all with great interest and consider each maintenance post incredibly helpful in educating me on how to be successful.
