Hi Sassy,

I admit I kinda feel bad, because I have not been trying to lose since Christmas, I think I tried once, and then had to go back to Canada for a funeral...

I feel bad that when I try, I usually lose.  And to me that is fair.  I am not sure what I would do if I tried to lose and couldn't over any length of time... to me that is not fair.

I don't know how to respond when someone is doing EVERYTHING right and not losing...  to me that is just not fair.  I have some sort of unfair advantage...

I wish I knew how to get your extra pounds off.  Something has to work, and you just need to find out what that something is...  I am cheering you on my friend...

Keep tweeking things, I am now reading the 10 Thin Commandments, and I have already done the on-line Shrink Yourslef course...  have you delved into either of those yet?  Some good stuff in there...  maybe something in one of those would work for you.

Big hugs my dear, you are right "We will do it!"

Hi Linda,

Thanks my friend, it is good to be back...

I finally decided enough was enough when I saw a friend the other day and she was thinner than I was...  that is rare these days, and she look phenominal, so I decided it was time to get back to my personal best...  funny what motivates you eh?

You will get yours off when you are ready, I realize more than ever, our head has to be in the game, or it just does not happen.  The first few days are the hardest, I am on Day 2 and if I recall this day is the toughest...  so I have it all planned out!

It is always so good to see you my dear, I feel like we are a team, we can do this, we have each others back!

Hugs, (lol I first wrote Jugs by mistakes, and it made me laugh out loud, because as I recall that might be a fitting sign off for you!!!)

great post, Cindy, and big hugs back. isn't it amazing what a difference a few pounds can make? I am 3 pounds over my goal right now and it's an entire pant size for goodness sake!!

I'm going to go read the exercise thread and then do tmy exercise. Good for you for posting this!!

and BTW, I just realized you live in Belize!!  I've been reading it for how long now and don't know what I thought it meant but now I realize it means you live in Belize, WOW!  can I ask how that happened? do you see a lot of "jungle"?  can you go swimming all year round?

Yes it is incredible how a few pounds can feel like so much.  I have a spare tire around my tummy when I sit now ??  WTF... how did that happen...?  I know my weight has re-distributed, but man a lot of the new weight went right to my thighs and tummy, the areas that I lose last on and bother me the most.... ggggrrrrrrr...

Yes I live in Belize.  We lived in Canada, at 38 and 43 we retired, sold everything we owned, bought a motorhome and went travelling.  That was in 2004.

We travelled in Mexico for 14 mos.  Then decided to head to Belize and set up our residency here.  We were in northern Belize for 14 mos.  Came to the beautiful tropical island of Caye Caulker for one day to go snorkeling and have lunch.  Knew right then, this is where we wanted to settle down.

Went back to northern Belize, finihsed our 14 mos.  Travelled the rest of Mexcio, took the motorhome back up through the US into Canada, and sold it and everything else that went with it.

Did some suitcase travelling in Guatemala, before our investments tanked, came back to Belize, settled on Caye Caulker, got into Real Estate again, and have been here ever since...

We LOVE it here.  Check out a couple of links:

www.CayeCaulkerWeather.com

You will be able to see some shots of our beautiful island paradise...  both sites are ours...  The webcam on the weather site is on our home, it faces out across the Caribbean to the Belize Barrier Reef.  The 2nd longest reef in the world... heaven...

That is why it is so easy for me to walk 4 miles a day... and I do it in my barefeet... check out the photos...

Hugs,

the weight I've gained is in my abdomen...and maybe butt & thighs a bit. you know, with stress hormones (I know I have them, but you are retired in paradise??) you are always going to get abdominal fat.

I'm going to go look at your photos. whoopie!  sounds wonderful!

No I am no longer retired :)  We are working folk again, our investments tanked a number of years ago and we had to get back to work.  But we love what we do and are pretty good at it :)  So live is good, we live frugally now and have learned a lot from living in Central America...

WHY why why do you say I am always going to get abdominal fat?  Because I am a woman, because it has always been a problem for me?  Why, it is not fair, I don't want it, I hate it.  I want a flat tummy and can't seem to acheive it without the rest of me looking anorexic.  I did not have children, so at least I don't have that working against my tummy, I am responsible for any tummy bulge I do have, me and food :)

Enjoy the photos!

no, I guess that I will have abdominal fat (me!!) because I gain weight when I feel stress and they say that does it - stress releases cortisol and that makes fat collect in your (I mean MY) abdomen.

I saw the photos on your profile, sheesh you look fantastic!!  and you are so young!

I'll check out the links now.

Ok then what you need to do is move here, and get rid of that stress in your life, and in turn get rid of that cortisol, and in turn get rid of that tummy... lol

Thanks for the compliments on the photos in my profile, I want to look like that again, only 6-7 lbs to go :)  But you were not supposed to be looking at ME, but at beautiful Belize!!

I'm young??  I am 45 years old, I mean young... you think that is young, well then thank you!

Big hugs my newly added Friend!
