Looking Forward to April 30 Event

Well I am about 98% certain I will be coming down from lala land to this event. Looking forward to it as I have some other business in Marin to take care of and then on to the fun, plus a few side trips for some big city culture. Maybe this will get posted eventually on the invitation site, but do you locals have any suggestions on motels to stay in reasonable near the party area for those of us traveling? Actually doesn't have to be that close - just places that those of us from out of the area can find our way to and from. Also location of the nearest Trader Joes so those of us who live outside of civilization can stock up.

Will be bringing some decent hardly worn clothes from the way down plus my famous cinnamon almonds. And no, I will not be bringing any of the "product" for which my area is known. Diane

So glad you are coming! We will be posting more information as the time comes and we get things more cemented. Where can I post the invitation? Your almonds will be great and LOL about the "product". I'll probably make my beef jerky.

Hi, thanks for the thoughts. when i mentioned the invitation i meant the link to the invitation site that you posted in your announcement of the event where we all put that we would be coming or might be coming etc. and i wanna eat some of your jerky! diane

I'm sure you'll get lots of suggestions for hotels. Don't have much personal info for any local places. My sister likes the Towne Place Suites by Marriott, here in Campbell......like less than 10 min from the "event" It is located near downtown Campbell......a short walk to Sbux....Orchard City Coffee....Stacks (breakfast place)........Barnes and Noble...... Sonoma Chicken Coop.....Outback S H.....and 5-min walk to T.J. 's! She says it is pretty reasonable ( her opinion, it is all relative!) I think 130.00-140.00 per night? I have seen the rooms they are pretty nice. Looking forward to meeting you IRL. Oh!...... also at the time they were there.......... there was some construction going on.....so it made it a bit of a pain to get in the parking lot!

ETA.....looks like the prices are about 90.00 for a "studio" room.....not sure how big/small that is.

I was going to recommend the same place as Jimbo. I think your best bet is to stay close to Downtown Campbell by Pruneyard. Great shopping, farmers market on Sunday morning, TJ's and good restaurants are all walking distance away. Also has some great coffee houses there. I live 5 minutes away, so if you need anything just let me know.

BTW......I DO NOT recommend the Campbell Inn! 3 separate relatives.....3 different times......ALL bad experiences! Right across the street from the place i mentioned!
