I am nearly at goal and have decided to slow it down a bit.  I have occasionally increased my calories a bit from 600-800 up to 1000 on a day or two a week.  Yesterday was my 1000 cal. day.  I got on the scale this morning expecting a bump up and low and behold, I lost a pound!  I love it!  I know this won't happen all the time, and I need to be very careful, but YEAAAAAA!

Highest weight ever recorded: 224lbs.    Surgery weight: 194 lbs.
Goal range:  130-135 lbs.
  Lowest:119.7   Current weight 142lbs Height: 5' 2" almost

That is wonderful.  I found this to be true too.  When you first increase your calories you start to lose faster for a period of time.  Long term that is not true, but short term it is great.  You are almost at goal, so increasing your calories makes perfect sense.

This is so great. Congrats. And you are right to gradually bump stuff up even with a couple pounds to go. I got to what i thought was goal and began eating more and still kept losing. Coincided with some events in life that made me more physically active. So no time like the present to start the personal exporation that is a part of everyone's maintenance mission. Now you start the next phase of your journey which is sort of like going to Outward Bound camp. gotta learn your own survivial techniques. lots of good hints in this group though.
