It definitely did lighten the day for y'all. . . I've had the same thing happen except it was at the mister's Christmas parties. We went to the one in 2008, I was just about 2 months out from my band so still around 250lbs, fast forward to 2009, I was down 100lbs, and people thought he had "picked up a new, hot, skinny wife". We giggled for weeks over it. Then fast forward to 2010, only another 25lbs lost, and people still thought he had managed to divorce and remarry another woman. Best thing is that they all thought I was younger than him. Well, I'm 6 years older than he is, and that made me feel fabulous ! ! !

It's the little things, huh?

That is awesome Tiff!  We went out another night with my hubby's friends and one of them kept trying to pull me into the back seat and asking how we could get rid of Drew.. we all laughed it off, but the hubby was not happy.. I think it is still sinking in that men view me in a whole new light.. I am definitely not nerdy, smarty-pants, one-of-the-guys Fawn anymore... or I am, but I am also a pretty girl too, and apparently (if you ask my hubby) that is a heck of a dangerous combo.. I have had a man offer to leave his wife.. and two others confess their unending love for me...like they will wait forever, blah, blah... like really people???? Give me a break, lmao...  I just DO NOT get it at ALL!  ha ha

I'm in the same boat with being "the hot guy's girl", I love football, fishing, outdoorsy stuff, and apparently that is a big hit with men LOL. . . It's like a moth to flame when guys meet me or are around me at different functions and I can talk about guns, fishing gear, the best cold weather thermals to keep me warm in the deer blind then show up in 4inch heels rockin' a mini-dress at the next function.

It doesn't help that I pack the mister's lunch every day from our dinner leftovers, take in baked goodies for the guys,  and all the guys tell him "man, your wife really is the total little package". . . John struggled with it for awhile. The first time he overheard a guy call me a "MILF" he totally flipped out LOL. The poor kid had no idea I was his wife, and least to say, it didn't go over very well for that kid.

I had a guy point blank tell me "I don't care who your husband is, I probably outrank him anyways". . . I said " you're right, you do outrank him, but that doesn't mean I'm going to sleep with you, have lunch with you, or stroke your outranked ego either, have a nice day, sir."

Ah Tiff- I knew we musta been sisters, lmao.. My hubby gets the same comments about me, and had a CO find a reason to sit in his office once just to ogle my pics and ask how he got me as a wife.. it gets ridiculous at times, lmao.. but I guess in the end he needs to just be flattered by it.  I admit that the attention is nice.. but I am not going anywhere, you know..  I have been amazed through this to find out how few wives cook though.. it is always, wow your wife is smoking.. and she cooks too?  LOLOLOL..

And do they really think you'd just up and leave your husband for them when they didn't think you were all that before just because you were heavy...

I think they think more highly of themselves than you probably do.

Ha ha- I never really looked at it that way!  There I was for well over a decade with his friends.. me in the corner and everyone happy to forget I was there... and now they wanna pull me to the center- and they assume that I want to be there with them.  In reality I am still happy in the corner watching- it has the better view imo..

I'm glad you are having fun with your weight loss, Fawn, and if other men's attention bother your husband a bit I think it's probably good for him.

and I have had "good times" at a funeral: lately it's the only time I see any of my family so what the heck.

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

PM me if you are interested in either of these.
