Thanks Laura :)
My doc found, aside from the torn articular cartilage, a section of my knee that was bone to bone.  He did this procedure called microfracture surgery.  I wasn't aware of this, and found out what he did when I woke up from anesthesia. I came home and started researching all I could find, and I don't like what the research says. Most surgeons have you on crutches for 6 weeks, and no weight bearing for months.  My doc does not want me on crutches(makes me question his protocol), but my therapist is concerned and has me concerned- no bending of knee, no stairs, no heels(oh horror!), no running, squatting, etc. etc, for at least 2 months.  She doesn't know when I'll be able to run again- maybe after 8 months??!!  So, I'm just feeling sorry for myself , but I'm walking better every day and I'm trying to stay positive!
Thanks for asking!

Oh gosh, that really sucks.  I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't work out...swim maybe??...or upper body weight training only.  I don't blame you for being upset.  Good luck and please keep us posted.  As you know I'm having my own knee problems and am in denial right now, lol.  Hugs to ya hon.

I started going to my group therapy yesterday . The
group is mon, wed, and fridays. I am going to go all 3 days a week.

I have to learn to take care of myself first...
