Need Help ...Pre-op To do list
Hello, star -- We are a small group of old-timers here, so make sure you post on the main VSG board as well as here. You will get more responses there, because there are zillions of folks posting all the time on that board. That said, don't take much to Mexico! All I remember really REALLY being glad I took was my chapstick and some mouth-moisturizing spray (for rinsing and spitting), because your mouth will be dry as dust until you are allowed ice chips! Best wishes on your journey :-)

on the main vsg forum Sublimate regularly posts a topic for new patients with a whole pile of information for preops or new post ops. good source and may well have what you need. can't add much to what others have said. take as little junk as possible i think. i have heard some say that its a good idea to take a box of latex or nitrile gloves as some places don't always use them. but not sure where i heard that. and check out some protein drinks now and find some you like. buy the sample or single serving packets to see what appeals; but beware that tastes change and after surgery for awhile everything just tastes terrible and thats the way it is for a few weeks. gl with your surgery. see if you can find another patient of your surgeons here on OH and read their blog entries or contact them directly. thats what i did. diane
Hi,
I'm a newbie not quite 2 weeks out. I'm also really anal about preparing--ok, overpreparing.
Here's a link to a list of items the lightweight forum folks suggested to have on hand post-surgery (mostly for at home, not for your MX trip). You most certainly will not need everything, but you can pick and choose.
