Was at an event this evening that ran kind of late so didn't get dinner until 9 pm. Rushed and made an Eat Rite low carb pizza as i had a lot of work to do for guests in the morning.  So I can usually only eat a half one and thats what i did but OMG and WTF guess i ate too fast because i got a classic case of the FOAMIES!!!   I mean, I am 15 months out and at weight goal. Felt like hell and also like a total idiot. I should know better. Feeling better now but was miserable for a while. But at least good old sleevie is still doing its job. The other half of that pizza is in the fridge but i don't think i will be able to face it. Into the trash or maybe into the dogs. diane

I have always eaten way too fast - especially when hungry (you'd often think it was my last meal) and get caught often with my sleeve! I probably still get the foamies once a fortnight!

I read something Sublimate wrote today about keeping food really boring so that she doesn't get too excited about it and eat too fast or too much of it ... I totally need to do that!

... by the way - nothing is pathetic here!!! I feel a little bit insane most days though - lol

It still happens to me occasionally too. It's easy to forget and get in a hurry.

Diane, I have never had foamies or even thrown up...not even once!  But, I do notice that my restriction kicks back in later in the evening.  My best eating time is between noon and 7.  Before noon I'm very restricted and after 7 also.  I just can't eat late cause I hate going to bed with a full tummy...can't sleep well.  So, maybe it was just a little late for you..

Laura - I am the same as you. My sleeve is TIGHT in the evenings. Way more so than late morning or afternoon.

Diane - I still occasionally have this problem. I don't get "foamies" per se, but I get to where my spit feels thick and I can't swallow it so I have to spit it out. I guess that's foamies, I'm not sure. I don't think I produce extra spit or anything, I think there is just no more room in my stomach. And it always happens when I eat out. I always go for that one (really two) extra bite and then have to go spit in the toilet or spit in a napkin. My husband always says "full, dear?" when I get the napkin out. It's so embarrassing.

yeah, thats really what it was, the "slimies" rather than the foamies but its the same thing. wished i could have ralphed it up. two gas x strips were no help. just had to wait it out. interesting about he late night thing. never thought of that. since i usually have only a glass of milk or a spoon of pb in the evening i don't really know what a late meal is like.now i do. not good.  diane
