Fess up!  Frisco's reply to an earlier post made me think of this!  So........just for  "****s & giggles"  list what you would eat on a normal average day (not on binge days like thanksgiving !)   I'll start........B/ two sausage Mcmuffins, Large iced coffee.  S/ granola bar, light yoplait, (they're healthy right?)   L/ usually leftovers rice W meat, and veggies, fruit, and chips, coke zero, afternoon S/ drive- thru Del taco macho nachos, diet coke (of course!) (Nachos alone were probably like 1500-2000 cals!)  Dinner usually later like 7:00 or so. (my biggest meal!)  Appetizer.... (fried calamari! my fave.....don't tell me the cal/carb info.....I don't want to know!  YES! I still have it on occasion......blissfully ignorant!)  Salad.... (yes I like salad .....drowned in blue cheese!)  Entree.... seafood, pasta veggies.  dessert...usually something creamy..... creme brulee comes to mind (don't like chocolate too much!)  Oh and don't forget the bread W/ butter, or the dippin' stuff O.O. and balsamic etc!  Late night snack ......a sandwich! .......and...... I'm spent!   Hey! remember........ NO judgments,or shame/blame here!  ......just an interesting "hind site perspective" thing!  Who's next?
ETA:  please don't post what you eat NOW...we all know protein first,  toddler portions, ..... Blah, blah, blah!  This is to see a perspective on the huge differences in how we ate before....and now.....big change for me,,,in my mind, body,  and soul!

Total volume eater here........this is a great example of a what a typical work day was like for me before I said, "enough".....sad but true......

Breakfast:  double meat Whataburger, large fries, diet coke (love the irony)

Lunch:  combination nacho platter at any given Mexican restaurant around work

Dinner:  This is when I'd try to make up for my bad deeds.  But, it was still a huge plate of something horrible for me.

I never was a big snacker or sweet tooth, but the Whataburger stops because literally a daily occurence.  And, when I was in the mood for sweets, watch out.

I blows me away to think about how much I used to consume daily.

Had I logged my food daily as I do now (and did when successfully losing in the past), then there is no way in hell I would have consumed that sort of food daily.  I couldn't even think about physically writing all that down.  Which is why I still believe journaling my intake is critical to my longterm success.  No hiding anything from myself.

Next.....

Hmmm, ok...I warn you though, I was def a volume eater.. and a junk eater too, but a LOT of it..

B: two has browns, two sausage biscuits, coke
L: 10 piece chicken nugget meal plus a double cheeseburger or a quesadilla, two tacos, and two chips and cheese, coke
D: fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, biscuits, mt dew
Dessert: prob 6-10 choc chip cookies
Snackks: through the day a family bag of chips, a bag of sunflower seeds, a candy bar, and a big gulp worth of mt dew...

dinner was usually the only homemade meal of the day- I would be out running around during breakfast and lunch and almost always eat fast food..

I am still loving life with my sleeve! Been maintaining at or below goal for over 4 years!

OK, I'll play.

B:Bagel and cream cheese, eggs with bacon
S: Grande Mocha w/whip
L: Burrito grande with everything followed by a large mint chip shake from BR
D: Chinese food, anything deep fried and smothered in sweet sauce with a few token veggies.
Late night snack, a package of Pepperridge Farm cookies.  Yes, pretty much the whole thing.

It is a wonder I am not dead yet.
Sometimes I would go to KFC and order a family size popcorn chicken, the worst thing on the menu, and eat the whole thing with their coleslaw, large of coarse.  This would be considered a snack.  I was never full, always hungry and thinking about my next meal.  I knew I was killing myself, and could not stop.

Sorry for the "High Jack"

I am sitting my chair laughing my A$$ off !!!!

I cannot for the life of me picture Elina at KFC for one.....and two..... knockin down a family sized popcorn chicken with slaw !!!!!!

Maybe we need to do a KFC nite for old times !!!!

Just like at last group I made the comment I couldn't imagine DrC shopping at Costco! For him.... I know his schedule and it is packed.....just couldn't imagine with the little time off he would want to go do the Costco thing! Think he grabs a Costco hot dog on the way out....or a slice off pizza?

The sad thing Frisco, is I fit right in at KFC at the time.  You met me when I had already lost all my weight but you would not have recognized me a 100 lbs. ego.  I run into people now who just can't believe I am the same person.  But I know what you mean about Dr. C at Costco, I had the same reaction you did.

Well, you are totally correct... The Elina I know is a 102lb. dynamo that is very articulate about her commitment to learning and executing.
I guess it was the thought of the new you sitting down at KFC eating a family size Popcorn Chicken that I couldn't comprehend.

The KFC near me is a combo KFC/Taco Bell........ I used to get the chicken pot pie, a couple of tacos, nachos bell grande, and a burrito for later.

I guess we all have come a long way in many ways !!!!

Wait, what did I miss? Who says dr. C shops at Costco? maybe gets one of those chorrizzo things. Even me, the former sugar queen never ate one of those disgusting items.

And I worked at KFC when I was in high school. We sometimes dropped the chicken on the floor. Think about that next time you are tempted to eat that stuff. And I used to make the gravy. Would curl your hair if you knew what was in it.   I dare anyone to call up Amy and ask her what appropriate food choices she would recomend from KFC!   Diane

I'll tell a little eating story to illustrate my pre-op eating behavior.  One time I went to Red Lobster with my mom, aunt and uncle to get the shrimp special.  We all ordered the shrimp dish, and they give you like 30 shrimp prepared in different ways - fried, scampi, etc.  I proceeded to eat the entire dinner, every last piece of shrimp, all the rice, veggies, everything.  That was after their wonderful Caesar salad and plenty of those cheesy biscuits they serve.  We were talking and laughing, and I wasn't paying any attention to how much everyone else was eating, but at the end of the meal, my plate was practically sparkling, while the other three had eaten half or less of their meals.  I remember feeling absolutely humiliated.  So, major volume eater, which the sleeve totally fixes.

Also sweet eater, which the sleeve doesn't do much for.  I would buy pints of H-D ice cream, go home and eat a pint right away, then have some kind of "dinner", then go for the second pint.  Same with any kind of sugar-based food.  I'd eat three large bowls of Honey Nut Cheerios for dinner often.  That behavior has been abated for the past six months or more, and as long as I stay away from large amounts of sugar, I feel like I can keep it abated.  I hope.

Great topic Jimbo!
