whats the worst weight related gift you ever received?
Not sure if this is "weight" related, but funny nonetheless! My friend's buddy went to Greece one year. he brought back gifts for everyone. He throws me a shirt and says "I hope it is your size!" I hold it up and laugh......looked like a medium to me! ( I was in a 4X at the time!) He's like........ "it's an XL!" I'm like...... "in a child's size....maybe!" I say.... "you wear a large.....you try it on!" He puts it on and it is tight! (sometimes the sizing is off in different countries!) So......just for s&g.....I put it on! I can hear the seams popping and tearing. After it is on I come out to show them. They are ROFL!....me too! I look like one of those beer bellied "rednecks" from the 80's with those stupid half shirts on, and the beer gut sticking out! It barely came down past my moobs! I looked like 20lbs of potatoes.....in a 10lbs sack! He apologetically said "I thought it was bigger!" I said "don't apologize.....it was a nice gesture for you to think of my 6 YO niece!"
Funny shirt story. at least you could laugh about it. Actually I believe the "bare midriff" look is quite fashionable.
A few years ago our garden club had a gift exchange and somehow the gift that i drew was a t shirt size medium with cute garden designs on it. . I knew no way would it fit as i hadn't seen a medium in 30 years. Only now am wearing them. Then we played the game of where you can trade your gift and take someone elses. So I did that trying to get the shirt to someone who could wear it and away from me, but the person didn't pick up on what I was doing and wanted my substitute gift and then the shirt came right back to me. And then some older ladies with poor eyesight started talking about the t shirt and how it looked like it would fit me and i should go try it on and it would work and so forth. I was really embarassed. I knew it would not fit, did not want to try it on on front of folks and look like a stuffed sausage in front of everyone. so i just said thanks and changed the subject. GAve that shirt away as fast as I could. Now I could wear it. diane

Thanks, but I'm not "of normal weight' yet! (but compared W/ my before pics......I'm pretty small!) I noticed the Avi got squished when it was re-sized??? Now I look skinnier! I guess that's a bonus!
I had the tee made after I got to goal #1.......#2 is coming soon! I'm almost !/2 the man I used to be!
