Lessons learned the stupid way - WAY OT - lurkers welcome :}

Be sure to wear glasses when camping and getting son to brush his teeth,  I am very Farsighted, I can't read anything close up.  The Colgate toothpaste tube red and white, ben-gay is red and white.... made my son brush his teeth with Ben-Gay.  I reached into our camp medicine bag thinking I pulled out the toothpaste, but it was not toothpaste, it was BEN-GAY! The rest of the family was sitting around the fire pit when I forced my son to brush his teeth (hadn't done it for several days camping).  So the kid starts saying that it hurts and doesn't taste good, I tell him to shut up and brush, he says mom it really hurts, I tell him just brush your teeth.  Then I look down and realize I made him brush with Ben-Gay.  I yell, spit it out spit it out,  The rest of the crew is howling with laughter, and snickered about it all nightl.  I think I tramatized him, but he did brush his teeth when I asked after that!
