My Ultimate Goal - 180
01/31/11 Goal - 209
Today's Weight - 213.2 (+/-0)

So yesterday went fairly well.  I took a "Fantasy Floor Dance" class with my good friend, after it when I got home I "needed" something so I grabbed a piece of Havarti and some Deli Meat.  Protein helps replenish muscles so overall I felt good just didn't need to do it at 10:30 at night.

I established a goal of 209 by the end of the month aka Monday.  Very doable!

Well the weekend water weight is gone!  I love my red wine, but every time I indulge, the scale jumps up.
1. I ate well
2. my night time snacking is my problem
I have to work on my water intake, but I got all of my vitamins in.
I'm still feeling down in the mouth about not being able to exercise.  Now my knee injury will be turning into knee surgery.  I've had it done on the some knee before, so I'm not worried, but I'm just concerned with the long term effect on my mobility.  Oh well, such is life!

Cindy, good job!  You are doing really well!

HI Adele,

Congrats on the .8 lb loss, good one!  Sorry about your knee problems, I know how frustrating that must be.

I am having trouble with my hip, hubby wants me to lay off of it, I won't, 4 miles a day, no matter what.  I think a hip replacement is in my future...  sadly...

I can hardly believe my weight loss.  BUT hubby lost over 5 lbs, so I think the pizza we had a couple of nights ago must have had both of us retaining water!!!  However, it was a great reward for our first day of behaving, so we will take it :)

Hope it continues for you and I, have a good one my friend!

Hugs,

Cindy

Hi Adele, just wondering what is wrong with your knee.  I have a bad right knee and am scared to actually go get it checked out.  I don't want him to tell me to lay off the exercise.  I'm sure you can relate.   What are they gonna do to fix it?

Hi Laura,
I had a childhood injury to my left knee, nothing major that kept me from an active childhood, but it bothered me over the years on and off.  8 years ago, I went hiking in a rain forest, being morbidly obese, and tore my meniscus.  I had arthroscopic surgery and all was great until the holiday decorating season, a ladder and me with my foolishness.  I hoped it was nothing major, but after 6 weeks of one step forward and two step backs, I had and MRI which showed that  I have torn the cartilage in my knee.  I have reached maximum improvement(which means I am able to walk without the lovely limp I've been sporting lately) and if I want to get back to running, spinning, etc., I need the surgery.

My advice to you, is go see your doctor.  I know that mine thought my injury was with my ligaments at first, and told me that I could do the elliptical, spinning etc., just no pouncing on the knee, like running or jumping.  Maybe your doctor will find something that doesn't require surgery.  However, his best advice to me was, "If you experience any pain while doing a particular exercise, stop."

Good luck, and here's hoping you better luck than I had!

this time i thought id try something different, and so far it seems to be working for me, I am pushing my fruit and yogurt and 2 meals of nothing but protein. (meat)

for the first time since surgery im actually enjoying fruit even though most of it is berries and apple the fiber in it seem to keep me held over for three hours and i have no sweet cravings  (yayyyy). what shocked me  is normally i chew gum all day and night, with adding the fruit to my diet i only had two sticks of gum yesterday.

my brother inlaw arrives tonight, so i wont weigh in til after he is gone... here is hoping i at least remain the same weight not gain lol.  but im enjoying the fruit, its something im hoping to keep in my diet plan long term  as it is now its very doable for me... maybe too enjoyable i look forward to my next meal or snack.

Hey ther Buddy!

Cool, I love fruit now too, but don't eat as much as I would like...  plan to put it back in my plan after this first two weeks of Induction.

Enjoy your time with hubby and his brother, sounds like so much fun.  Trust yourself and your sleeve and you will be fine...  I think it is wise not to weigh (and stress) over your weight while he is here.  Just enjoy!  It will all come back off again, 'if' you gain.

Have fun!

Cindy

I can't believe it but I forgot to weigh this morning!  That is the first time that has happened since my surgery.  I am incorporating more salads/fiber into my diet and not sure how all that is working out.  Guess I will just have to wait until in the morning to see if it has made a difference.
