Know what I got?     I got below  300lbs!!!!  I have met Dr. C's original goal!   It has taken me almost 17 months.....but I've done it.  I'm thrilled!.  I have lost 282 lbs!.  Dr. C's goal was under 300lbs.( I'm 298)  He thought about 18 months was realistic,  I felt 2 years was more "realistic".  I proved us both wrong!  Am I done yet........HELL NO!  But I am happy now, and enjoying the "moment"   He set my next goal at 290lbs, when I see him in April.....I think?   I'm thinkin'......285 or 280?      We'll see!   I will post pics when my laptop is fixed........all my pics are on it! (borrowing one now)   I get asked by lots of people here,   why I haven't posted any pics.......I tell them when I get to goal (or my original "goal")  I will post some.  I will soon....... so stay tuned.
.I had a great birthday, I spent time with my big sis from Hawaii, and my family......they all applauded when I told them!  They are ALL so proud, and supportive of me......I'm very lucky.    Life is....... great!   Have an extraordinary week!     290............here I come!!

Jimbo,

Congrats and Happy Birthday!!!!!

I don't know how correct this is..... I really don't know you that well.... I do know that we are bonded with similar life issues, culture, surgeon and journey.

But dude... I got a lump in my throat reading your post! I've seen your before pics, I know how far you have come.....your challenge is far greater than mine and I draw enthusiasm from you and your commitment.

Let me throw this out there.......You get down to 275lbs. (Dr. Cirangle approved of course)

and I'll do your photos !

I'll even get you on his wall of fame !!!!!

Jimbo this is so fabulous I hardly know where to begin, so let me offer you my  heartiest congratulations!  I have watched your progress from way back and you have achieved a phenomenal goal that very few people in the entire world ever do. I bet Dr. Cirangle was turning cartwheels when he saw you. You are an inspiration and a gentleman (in spite of use of the H work LOL - I curse like a sailor) and I am glad you plan to move ahead and be the best you can be at another goal. Gosh, you have lost half of your self! I have done that two but it was a littler half. (247 to 123 and the wrinkles prove it).

And I have been wondering how the reunion with your sister went and hope you will tell us every detail on how she reacted. So wonderful that you have supportive proud family for this. And why shouldn't they be. You are a super star and we can't  wait to see your pics.

My older brother who, like me, has been overweight all his life and who is probably a bmi 50 or so, is now proceeding toward vsg based on my success. He lives in the midwest so unfortunately won't have Dr. Cirangle but there is a good group there that does a lot of vsg. I have gotten him looking at the forum and learning about the procedure etc. May I suggest to him that he "friend" you? I think he would be inspired by your success. Heck, we all are. Next time any of us are tempted to eat inappropriately or are struggling, we will think of Jimbo and know we can make it.

All the best, Jimbo and as we said in the 60's, keep the faith!

And oh, btw, happy birthday! I think you should get 282 spanks for every pound lost!
