Time for pathetic whining
Hey all, I feel much better that I am not the only person who (a) has new wrinkles and (b) is not happy about them. I expected the other sags in the midrift and south of the border, but the face wrinkles were kind of a surprise and seemed to come on suddenly. Actually they are kind of a reminder that I need to keep hydrating as its easy to forget in cold weather. While in Phoenix a few months ago (where the dryness gave me nose bleeds) a resident recommended this cream called Aquaphor. Probably made mostly from vasoline, but it does seem to work well for winter when we are in heated buildings alot.
I was seeing my hand surgeon a few weeks ago for this weird condition I have and the guy is also a plastic surgeon and we talked about fixing my squishy tummy. And without me even asking he also mentioned he could also fix my face. Now I have known this surgeon for years and he has helped me tremendously and we have a good rapport and I have sent him many patients so he can say anything he wants to me, but geez, must be bad when the plastic surgeon suggests it. If any of you research the options like partial lifts vs dermabrasion vs major lifts, report in please. I am surprised I don't have worse jowels than I do, but to spill a secret I had my under chin area sucked out about 20 years ago along with a few other places. Thats why I don't have some worse sags. But Frisco is right, not everyone gets the priviledge of seeing one's bare bottom the face is pretty much public at all times. And MacMadame, I can understand why you made your decision to save for a lift while clothes shopping because those dressing rooms always have such hideous florescent light that it makes you look green and prunelike even if you are neither. And I met you and you do look younger than your years and I never would have known you had ever been overweight if you hadn't told me your history.
So I would really like to do the lower body lift as my behind has double "chins" and the midsection has an empty spare tire and the inner thighs - well we won't even talk about that - but all that surgery would cost as much as the new car i will need soon and I don't want the discomfort. But a little face work might be doable. Will be back to the hand doctor in a few months and will ask some more questions. Still learning about living in this new loose but lightweight skin. And still lovin' my sleeve and being thin. guess wrinlkes are a small price to pay for probably 10 more years of life. diane

I have my dad's house for sale and I will get half the money. I keep saying I am going to get a face lift if that house sells, and people tell me I am crazy.
It's nice that all of you share the same feelings. I hate my neck and all the new wrinkles that came with WLS. Of course being thin is the best feeling in the world, and I can't help wishing I had WLS
years ago.
I will probably go to MX, but I would love to hear prices if anyone is able to have it done. I kind of thought it must be hard to fix the neck because of all the Hollywood people. You can tell they had their faces done, but they still have the turkey neck . I don't get it!

I love Aquaphor!
I used it on my chapped lips while riding my bike during my Ironman.

I had the Thermage procedure done 3 months ago. I do not have the down time for a PS procedure. This was done in the office in about 30 minutes and I was on my way. I went in last week for my 3 month check up and picture comparison. I could really see a difference. My eyes have opened up more, the puppet mouth has softened, and the neckline (turkey neck) was the biggest improvement. It take 6 months to get the full benefits of the procedure so if the next three months improve like the last, I will be pleased with the process. I wanted something that when people saw me would not go "What have you done to your face?". So far, it is doing just what I want....soft, little changes at a time. Thermage builds the collegen back and helps take up the space and fill out the wrinkles. You my want to Goggle it to see if it is something you may be interested in to just get you through until you can get the plastics. It cast me $2500 which is a lot, but I don't plan to have any plastics in the future. But who knows, if I hit the PowerBall I may just go for it!!!
